Type L sounds great! What was the position of the microphone? Mono overhead over snare?
@chandlerlimited7 ай бұрын
Yes, this was in the mono overhead position, with the capsules 55” from the floor and between snare and floor Tom; both mics; I have to look back, however there’s a slight angle.

Hi me again, are you using an SVT pro bass head? If so are you running a dummy load to play it without a cab and using the direct out to send to the REDD.47? Or is there an SVT preamp (that’s not a bass head) that I don’t know about? Thanks
@chandlerlimited7 ай бұрын
The bass in both cases was a Fender Power Jazz, played with a pick. The REDEYE split the signal and the SVT is a preamp only, not a head and the output from the SVT side of the chain returned back into the second REDD.47 preamp. The other side of the split went in to the first REDD.47. The TG2-500 setup would have been the same, albeit with TG2-500s instead of the REDD.47s.

Hey, great video! Love the sound of chandler pre´s. Can you elaborate more on the bass chain? Was it two separate singnals? Direct out of an SVT head blended with the red eye D.I? What kind of bass? Love the tone. Thanks
@chandlerlimited7 ай бұрын
Hi, wow, it's been a long time since this was done! Regardless, at this point in time...I'd have to see if there are any notes; actually I put the notes in the video lol. It was the Little Labs Redeye used as a DI into the TG2-500 and the split signal was DI into the SVT preamp. The REDD.47 video track used the SVT and REDEYE split and 2x REDD.47s, and you can see the bass in that video.

I saw at another video that they are using 2 redds to get this revolution guitar sound. any workaround to get this sound with only one Redd? @@chandlerlimited
@chandlerlimited Жыл бұрын
@@HeyYou2618 Yss, to get the sound, you would normally chain one REDD.47 into the next, using the first one to overdrive the second one. If you only have one REDD.47, you can reached a take through it to your DAW, and then by "re-amping" the recorded signal back through the REDD.47 from your Daw timeline and back onto another track. You can use the DAW fader of the original take to determine how hard you want to hit the REDD.47's input and at the same time, set the input gain 'Voltage gain' and 'Faine gain' for the desired input sensitivity to achieve the sound you want.

@bluehole60192 жыл бұрын
If you just mean pedals that make your guitar sound like this, there’s three types: Overdrive Pedal - The least intense type (that’s where I’d classify this pedal) Distortion Pedal - Medium intensity Fuzz Pedal - Very intense Those are the different types of pedals that make your guitar sound distorted. If you’re looking for more pedals that sound similar to this one, I’d look for some overdrives.

@@voa23 for tracking--- the tg2 preamp section i usually dial it in until distortion and then knock it back a click. classic way to approach most preamps with vocals tbh. sometimes i'll slam it for a fuzzy bass and drive the compressor a bit. vocals sometimes i'll slide a little bit of compression on. i always add some treble eq for vox but not too much cuz i always overdo it and then the mix suffers lol. it all totally depends on the production though really, except for not adding too much top on the vox, that's universal IMO
