Can you use this at home for beard trims ?
@razrsharpuk3 күн бұрын
@@AvtarDhillon yes you can. If you want shape up your beard it will work if you zero gap the blade which is straight forward however you may want to get a trimmer for the job which is more suited to detail work.

have you shaved a clients head with it? is it effective or would the double do it quicker? im looking at this for home use and was thinking the double would be better for balding.
@razrsharpuk14 күн бұрын
I've not done a full head shave with them just balding out the lower part of skin fades. They do cut close but if you want to do a full head shave then I think going for the double may be a good call to do the job quicker.

Hey man, thanks for the vid - I know these shave pretty close, have you or your clients been having issues with bumps with this one?
@razrsharpuk25 күн бұрын
@@WestwardKey Firstly thanks for watching the video. So some of my clients are fine with foil shavers and have no skin reaction or bumps but others find it too close so I only use a trimmer with them and they are okay. For myself personally I can’t use it on my sensitive skin as I get bumps after a few days so stick with my trimmers only.
@WestwardKey24 күн бұрын
@@razrsharpuk Appreciate you brother, I'm pretty sensitive too so only use the trimmer atm but wanna see if I can get that little bit closer, so think I'll give them a try. Thanks again and all the best for the New Year!

Why does the 0.5 guard babyliss look longer than the wahl ones.Will this affect how much it cuts?
@razrsharpuk25 күн бұрын
@aa.cutz1 it may appear longer in the video but from suing both guards I can say they cut to the same length. Thanks for the question 🙂👍🏿

I have this whole clipper and guard set but I still don't understand why the 0 guard is called a 0 guard when it doesn't match the 0 on the clipper itself.......

The only guess I can make is that Andis have done this to be different from other brands who refer to this guard as 0.5.

Have you tried the ‘mane tame’ barber case? If so which one you like barber
@razrsharpukАй бұрын
Thanks for the question. No I haven't tried it as yet but I've seen it online. I had a similar case previously which was good for a while but I found it to be really heavy once I added my tools and was also limiting in the amount of equipment I could carry. I would say that I prefer the backpack style cases as they're light, more portable and carry more equipment.

Great review mate! Just wondering if you find the on/off switch on this a little hard to operate? I just bought it and find the switch to be a little stiff.

Thanks for the question. Like you I did find it a bit tricky at first but have got used to it now and the switch has loosened up so is easier to operate now.

I cut my hair at home and I'm over the crappy ones that just die after a year. I'm looking between this and the Magic clip. I've just for regular white dude hair that I trim to around 10mm. Would this or the Magic Clip be better for me, or does it not matter at all, and I should just go for whatever is cheaper? Thanks for the video.
@razrsharpukАй бұрын
Thanks for your question and sorry for the delay giving you a response. I would say that both would be suitable but if you plan on doing any kind of fade work or tapering then the Magic Clip would be better as the stagger tooth blade on it is excellent.

I agree i am not fan of wahl trimmers. I think wahl make better clipers than trimmer. There in between with wahl either there trash 🗑 or good when there good it to expensive. Andis has better price for the quality when it comes to trimmers. If i going pay expensive price i would go with babyliss.

To me its the easiest guard system and most efficient. The #1 guard blends into the #2 pretty easily you just have to flick a bit. The 0 guard closed can flick into the #1 guard closed pretty easily as well. Once you do that the fade is basically done all you gotta do is detail or use no guard and corner cut to take out any dark spots
