Bdv-e570 here.. it originally had prime and netflix and worked fine... then one day the prime app was missing after it did a firmware update..wtf? then later down the line I connect wired internet again becuz I wanted to at least use the remaining netflix app..well the firmware updated again and Removed my netflix! WTF? what the hell kind of updates are these that Diminish and remove optionss and apps from a working system? Really sony? like wtf? It left dozens of utterly useless apps on there and removed the only 2 that I;d ever use...

Hi Steve, did you end up taking any pictures of the final repair. My cable is broken and I’m considering ordering the repair kit. I took it apart after watching your video and I’m worried about installing it incorrectly and ruining the new cables and pulley.

Blue Ray Disc is Better.

When removing the entire regulator assembly: Remove lower mounting NUTS and then turn the lower mounting BOLTS into the regulator frame so it will clear the top gap/opening of your door shell. (these are adjustment screw/bolts so note how many turns that it takes to set them once you reinstall) In other words the 2 lower bolts have threads on both sides to adjust the angle of the glass... If these bolts are not adjusted properly the glass will bind as it runs upward into the weather stripping.

Make sure you take pics as you pull it apart. Note where the cables run on a new unit. You need to have the cables coming in and out of the proper holes for the correct angle. (there are multiple outlets from the motor) Also!:Note which side of the motor that the cables run out of. (very important not to get them cris-crossed... or mount the motor backwards or upside-down. Otherwise you'll need to pull the cables back out of the motor...this can warp your brain!) Look at/take pics of a new assembly (check eBay pics if your cables are snapped/broken completely) Look at a right if you're working on a right. Replace the rubber mounting bolts on the motor if the rubber is old or damaged or your cables will fail again due to the motor twisting.

thank you so much! i was having a hard time bc resetting wasn’t helping at all and i can’t reboot my internet but by changing the IP address even with wireless internet, i am now enjoying my netflix!

What if my Netflix doesn’t even appear anymore?

Thank you Steve w! This worked for me on my Sony Blu-ray BDP-S3100. This thing is pretty old, like from 2012 maybe. I didn’t touch my router, but I did the other stuff and it worked!

January 2020 and it worked for me! Sony Blu Ray player, all the streaming services worked except for Netflix. I was actually watching a Netflix movie and went back to the main menu when it happened to me. I went on chat with Netflix and they told me my device was no longer supported which was obviously a cop out because this worked. Thanks for taking the time to post this!

What the hell you don't need to do all this you just need to unplug your damn device and then plug it back inI know this because I just got a device and it was having problems with Netflix app only and I was told my Sony to just unplug my device and plug it back in and it should work and it did

OK, I did all of these, chat with Sony, did these too, and nothing worked, Sony guy told me even "we are not responsible for apps functionality" I was about to throw the player down the window and never again buy a Sony. BUT! Tried to set up the pv6 connection and it mention I didn't have one, so in set up, I disabled the pv6, and the pv4 left it in "auto". And it worked again!! So, if avobe didn't worked, tried disabling pv6, and auto pv4 connection. It worked for me!

Mine is a Model BDPS3100 and it keeps buffering, stuttering, or locking up entirely when I watch Netflix on it. Ready to smash it with a hammer. 🔨

Just get a good used regulator assembly on eBay. I have both the Driver and Passenger listed. Search: 98-04 C70 Power window regulator assembly.

Oh my lord, thank you so much! I’ve been hopeless about getting back into Netflix, and this did the trick!! I think changing the DNS after resetting everything helped my situation. Thank you again.

a million thank you's. after all this i had to go to Video - Internet connections - and click reset internet connections. My apps had all dissapeard, but this made them come back

I had same problem with KZbin. For my Sony Blu-ray Disc DVD player, doing a complete factory reset worked. I have a small cheap basic model, but bought June of this year and already having this issue...we replaced 2012 sharp tv because of app issue with Netflix. Now KZbin on Sony player. It’s just an evening hour or less for our family. This doesn’t quit, distributors and app providers can’t play nice, we will shut them off and play cards and dominos. We’ve already cut the cable cord. One more snip won’t hurt. No more wasting money when they work hard at not working on their issues.

Support on Blu-ray disk Home Theater system ends May.2018!!!! Imagine the balls on Sony!!!! The have never supported the BDV n 7200w... and now they have the nerve to say that they will end support!!! Goodbye Sony forever! The hardware is OK... but the software is a piece of crap, has been, is and forever will be.
