I have recently purchased a La Marzocco Linea Pb for my coffee shop, what is the ideal time of extraction 17,5 grams of coffee for a single espresso and for a ristretto? Also which button do you recommend to use, single cup button or double cup button? I have been told for a ristretto I should hold the single button till the extraction begin, what do you suggest?

Hello, thank you for this clear and awesome cleaning video. Question, does it matter where the grain/grind size dial position is at when you want to clean and start opening the parts? Please advise thank you.

Congratulations, you have the ONLY video I can find that even mentions this grinder. Chris Coffee is the only vendor I know of who carries it. I want to get this ghost of a grinder but it seems a huge risk, lots of technology that could go bad. Like if the scale system works, does it at least have timed dosing as a "backup". The logical part of my brain says "Get the Compak F10 and get your conical burrs and peace of mind. Am I wrong, talk me down please. Oh and I owned Compak K10 last ten years.

Rob Diyer What's to stop the grease from migrating into the coffee ? . . . Especially when the grease heats up from use and thins out, or breaks down from age and separates ? Haven't seen any lube being added to any other high end burr grinders, other than in the motor end.

I put my grinder back together had when I turned it on, it made a really bad screeching sound. Did I do something wrong?
@maxmccallum75944 жыл бұрын
It sounds like your blades may be touching or rubbing in some way when you have reassembled the grinder. I would try turning your knob to the coarsest possible setting before starting the grinder again. It is possible that you have calibrated the grinder to be too fine at the finer grind settings.

Thank you for the video. What temperature do you set for the steam valve?
@maxmccallum75944 жыл бұрын
Set your steam boiler temperature to give you the desired pressure you want to achieve in your steam boiler. I would start at around 120c, and adjust from there in 1.0c increments. Ideal steam pressure for most environments is between 1.0 and 1.5 bar on the main steam boiler pressure gauge.

How you like the grinder, I am considering the 71 conical. Had my last grinder 12 years and I never cleaned, so I doubt I will with the 71 unless I hear why its so terrible lol. I mean I probably grind 60-100 lbs a year.

Stabbing the burrs with a screw driver seems like a bad idea to me. Doesn't it dull them, or damage them some other way?
@dukescoffeeroasters20356 жыл бұрын
Hello! This is a metal pick, rather than a screwdriver. It is non abrasive and used to loosen the hard-to-remove residual coffee from the burrs.

@@martijnvdkerkhof yeah and you're not actually pocking the burr's teeth, just the space where the screws fit that usually get clogged up with very fine coffee.
