This guitar is a Fender XII strung with just 6 strings, instead of 12. I have no idea of the thickness of strings he used. Fucking musical GENIUS!

I saw him shortly before his death in a club ("Spectrum") in Augsburg. He couldn't stand anymore, sat on a chair in the edge of the stage and played like hell. Unbelievable. The best concert of my life. R.I.P.

🎶🎸seen Johnny Winter in Detroit at the Majestic Theater on Woodward Ave. It was standing room only. All tables and chairs were removed for this show and w💥w what a show it was

I saw Johnny Winter perform live three times, all three shows were great. And I have seen my fair share of live music. Johnny Winter, Alvin Lee, & Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock,.... it just doesn’t get any better than that!
