How did you manage to order burgers to your lodge? We visited last year and could only see the option for the jars of food we are going again this year would be handy to know how to get burgers and chips delivered to your lodge?
@EmmaPetoTravels7 күн бұрын
hey!! I visited during COVID times so believe the food in lodges was apart of the social distancing at the time. might be worth emailing to see if this is an option you can have when going back x

Hi - im a physician that supports expeditions in the Himalayas a friend forwarded me this asking my opinion on why you became sick. Using only the provided video the cheese sandwich is probably what had done you in. Your diet of Dal Bhat on the way up and adding yak cheese which is much higher in CLA content levels, caused much of your stomach discontent. Everyone’s stomachs are different but it’s a shock to the GI tract when you add that much cla in. The key we work with our climbers on is maintain a steady mild diet the entire time. Sorry you had such a rough trek.

I was thinking just that! When she ate the Cheese and Tomato sandwich or the blueberry as well and drank all the Chocolate Milk probably got some bad milk🥹

I wasn't enamored with that place in any way! Way too touristy. Thank You for showing me where I don't want to go I appreciate you very much. My take is it looks like a run down tourist trap that saw its better day in the 1960 's

Thanks for the upload. I really want to book this but terrified of the 150mtr suspension bridge, is it really that bad?✌🏽
@janistait86715 ай бұрын
No. Look ahead. Don't get on with any animal visible, and keep one hand hovering over the guard cable. Hovering, because there can be some painful "sticky-out bits". By the time you get to the Hillary bridge, you'll have sussed out the knack of all suspension bridges. Height is irrelevant. Go for it.

Too bad you got such bad weather. I think you would have enjoyed it more if the sun was out and you could actually see the mountains. Definitely think you had a bit of altitude sickness going on there. A pulse Ox of 77 is normal when you climb everest any lower and I would have stayed and acclimated more or went down lower for a few days. Glad you monitored yourself

By not renting a vehicle, Especially when staying on N Shore, you probably spent as much, if not More, than you would spend if you had rented 3-4 star hotel in/around WKK...e.g..$152 Uber from WKK to Malaekahana is Just Ludicrous Highway Robbery! And, if you're paying Bare minimum for camp ground, or Anything less than one-star, accommodations...Do Not be surprised to see lil creepy, crawly 4, 6 or other multi-legged "residents"-lol... BTW...Malaekahana=Mah-lye-kah-hah-nah...Ho'omaluhia=Ho-oh-mah-loo-hee-yah =To have peace/to be peaceful

Climate change is affecting Nepal too. I was there in mid October 2023 (4th visit to the mountains in Nepal, last time 2019) and it was the first time I have experienced delays to flights. And rain! Interested you flew (or were meant to ) to Lukla from K'du. We've had to fly from Ramechap to Lukla last twice (five hour drive from K'du).
