In case anyone else is having the same issue I am, I you can only simplify fractions if the denominator is 4 digits or less if the numerator is 2 digits or less. So, any fraction that would reduce to a 1-digit numerator and 4-digit denominator would result in a decimal with more than 3 places and will not reduce with this calculator. This means anything less than or equal to 1/1000 or .001 will not reduce. I tried to do 64/140608 (2-digit numerator and 6-digit denominator) and it will only show a decimal. I tried 11/11111 and had the same result. 11/1111 will reduce to 1/101. I also experimented using .333 and .3333 and found that .3333 will not translate into a fraction of 1/3 but .333 will. * Multiples of 10! If the numerator and denominator are both multiples of 10, some zeros will cancel each other out with fractions like 100/10000 or 100000/10000000 which both reduce to 1/100. This is the only exception to the rule and you should be able to easily reduce these without a calculator* I hope this made sense and helps anyone who had the same frustrations I did!

Whoever you are i genuinely love you for this, stats is stressful and a lot of stat teachers are lazy when it comes to teaching. both of the ones I have had are like here you go watch this video and figure it out, the one i have rn literally gave me an F on last test because my laptop glitched and it went from 1hr 10minutes left to 6 minutes. I was obviously angry.

Thankyou (8yrs later) that is extremely helpful, I was trying to put the parameters straight into the z-test{} form, this is what I discovered, at the input query field type.. z-test{z>-1000 and z<3.0} will give the standard u=0, s=1 result 0.99865 (for Z<3) (ignore graph) use z-test{} not z-test() you need to use decimal 3.0 and not 3. you make lower limit z=-1000 which it interprets as - inf for all practical purposes. only does Left-tail so for z>-1.0 to z<3.0 you would need to do separate z-tests z-test{z>-1000 and z<3.0} then z-test{z>-1000 and z<-1.0} subtracting your answers.
