Answer 7/10 is correct. You may need to write your answer in a different form. Because, when x→1 answer is 7/10, and also when y→1 answer is 7/10. .

I don’t think this is sufficient to show that the limit exists. You need polar coordinates since the limit needs to agree for any arbitrary path

So, why is it negative t? I can't find an answer for why t/theta would be negative
@favoritemath11 күн бұрын
We use negative t to ensure the boundary curve is traversed counterclockwise when viewed from the positive y-axis.

What did you do for r(t)?
@favoritemathАй бұрын
x^2+z^2=16. This equation describes a circle in the xz-plane, with a radius 4 and centered at the origin (0, 0, 0). To describe the circle mathematically, we use a standard method to parameterize circles where x = r*cos(t) and z = r*sin(t) (r=4, t is the parameter (angle) that varies from 0 to 2𝜋). So, 𝑟(𝑡)=4cos(𝑡)𝑖−4sin(𝑡)𝑘, 0≤𝑡≤2𝜋

This is because |a| and |b| are lengths. Length is always positive.
