layering kills me because whenever I look for inspo 99% of fits are layered and I'm like... dog I live in the south, I'll die of heat wearing this in Spring through early Fall lmao

within 5 seconds you hit us with the "like and subscribe <3" that most videos put at the end... definitely a first jajajaj well done! to comment on your video. I feel like your boyfriend is dead on. You can almost feel the emotion behind women's designs + it's usually the case that the woman herself can subtly elevate the fit to the moon. As a woman POV your inspo/advice comes through clearly: A. You like a boxy/oversized/controlled-baggy (lol) look for men. B. Bottoms should range from straight cut to baggy but no wider than that man's shoulder width. (some exceptions on flared out shorts) C. is for COLORS! D. Importance of length! None of your fits have criminally long tees... in fact they mostly appear to break at or a little past the belt line. E. Wonders of light layering. F. Leather jackets are forever. G: @21:15, dad fit is for everyone. H. Which maybe wasn't deliberate, your preference lies far from overweight men if we go by BMI standards. I*. This is just my point lol, men really serve to elevate a woman's fit via contrast. We should aim for presentable (like 95% of the fits in this video) but never try to outshine a woman in their domain. I feel like you could draw a rectangle on majority of the fits from your final slideshow and you would get the fabric in the upper/bottom region almost completely touching that box. Why is this? Trigger-warning, men in healthy weight/not super jacked and below have quadrilateral builds!!! It's only when we go ham eating/bodybuilding that we enter the realm of triangles and ultimately ovals. Even in those feminine-feeling crop top fits you got a group of nicely built men with wide pants that match their shoulder width... a trapezoid is still a quadrilateral! Truthfully I think bigger lads can definitely pull majority of these off if they think about it a little. It would be a lot more form-fitting for them but some of your suggestions like layering/colors/jackets/etc apply all the same regardless of body shape! Not trying to attack your POV and honestly it's good that you aren't trying to actively make it so inclusive because dawg there is beauty in diversity and un-filtered opinion. I don't think you are being rude or actively excluding anyone at any point in this video. While you may get more clicks by making it more "inclusive" I feel like we would be deprived of your real opinion... run of the mill tick all inclusivity boxes. Hey, that's profitable if you're trying to do this for a living. Now if you made a whole video specifically for bigger lads/women now you're really cooking... those would maybe feel more like a research video if it's something you have to dig for hours to find oversized styles you feel are OK. Overall this is a very chill video and suggestions/things I liked from the actual video would be: -The random commentaries you have throughout the video are kinda cute/silly and not overly long. You are not distracting the viewer too much from the main topic. It's like a mental break and adds a personal touch to your video. Do not underestimate the power of relatability. -Categorize what you're going to talk about kinda like you would in an intro to a school essay. Tease it with general terms and maybe only one or two of the pictures you will be using for that specific section. I.e. "I wanna talk about: lengths, shapes, colors, layers, accessories, blending all or some of the above, etc." You can always add a more comprehensive recap/conclusion at the end. Convince the viewer basically. -Time-stamping. Goes hand in hand with the last suggestion. People can come in and sort through specific categories, take your opinion and run with it. Not everyone is going to be interested in absolutely everything you have to say and that's OK. I think that's the nature of opinion-based videos. -Consider not using the same photo more than twice. I understand you were addressing different bits within a particular photo. Perhaps you could use a photo to call out just colors, next one you call out colors and layer, colors + shoes + patterns, etc. etc. etc. you creativity is the limit for how you want the video to flow. -Using arrows/bullet points that call-out/summarize key bits of the images as you talk about them. I feel like this would add emphasis and make the video a little more dynamic though it prolly requires you to do a lot more editing/time consuming so be cautious of diminishing returns! I wish you good luck little lady. This comment was very fun to write so thank you!

Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to type that all it was very thoughtful and Insightful! I’m actually very pleased to say I have a men’s fashion video part two going up on this next Friday and had already planned on including a lot of the things u suggested which is exciting to see I’m on the right track! It was also brought to my attention a few times about the lack of size inclusivity and people were right so early today I actually took some time to look into mid-plus sized men’s outfits and take away some points from each of them to better explain how while yes the outfits may look different they’re still amazing! I won’t spoil everything for the video BUT I will say you’re spot on. I hope you watch it and enjoy the changes and improvements I’ll be making:) Once again I thoroughly appreciated this comment and everything included and will be returning to it to look for things viewers enjoy and things I could try out/work on:)

It’s not a these days thing:) it’s been around for decades. Just became more main stream and in your face a few years ago, baggy jeans picked up large popularity jn the 80’s hip hop scene, and have continued to thrive in that community aswell as many other communities, which might just not have been around you which is totally fine but saying it’s something that’s only involved “these days “ is false:) but either way people should stick to wearing what they love, and I and MANY other adore them

This was excellent categorization 👏🏽 Constructive feedback: 1) cycle slower through the example pictures. It’s more important that noobs digest one example (which takes time) rather than shown 10 examples in quick succession. 2) Assume minimal knowledge- you mentioned “fancy pants” without defining it. Next time, mentioning materials and cuts and putting screenshots up of what is vs isn’t a fancy pant side by side at length will be more helpful for students Other than that good work

hey! it's very clear you know your stuff. that was good inspo, thanks :) i have some suggestions tho if you dont mind: the second part was easier to follow for me, as still images work better compared to scrolled thru screen recordings (those should be higher frame rate and slowed down). i would also find a compromise between the second part (from 10:15) and the last 3 minutes by shifting the camera a lil bit to have a 70:30 ratio estate (you on the bigger side and exemplary images taking 30% of the screen), both because the last part is the most viewed one and if you're in the image you can have it balance throughout the vid, and because on smaller devices images are just too small compared to where you most likely edited the video. maybe i was obvious in that case sorry! good stuff keep it up you got a new sub 😌

😊Well as a gay man looking to upgrade my wardrobe, I’m exploring a more ‘masculine’ style after typically dressing with a more feminine touch, so this is all new to me. My biggest challenge is finding the right fit, especially being tall-I’m not always sure how certain pieces should fit, so some guidance would be super helpful. I’d also love some ideas for fun, stylish outfits for going out or clubbing that aren’t too plain. I enjoy adding androgynous qualities to my style, so if you have any suggestions that bring in that flair, I’m open to it! Also where to buy said pieces especially quality brands or statement pieces men’s high fashion in general , I’d be interested in that too.
