This story is nothing short of extraordinary. It's heartwarming and inspiring to hear about the selfless acts of bravery and compassion from this remarkable man. Known as the "British Schindler," Nicholas Winton organized the rescue of 669 children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia on the eve of World War II, giving them a chance at life and hope. To learn about such a profound and moving story through the "True Love" podcast must have been an incredible experience. It's a reminder of the powerful impact one person's courage and kindness can have on the world. Winton's legacy teaches us the importance of standing up against injustice and the enduring power of love and humanity. His actions during such a dark time in history are a testament to the incredible potential for goodness in people. It's stories like these that inspire us to strive to make a difference, no matter how small it might seem. Truly, Nicholas Winton's story is a beacon of hope and a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of altruism.

This is the purest form of the ends justify the means. Critical thinking and thinking for yourself is an ideal sorely lacking today.

This man was a TRUE HERO!!!! We need more selfless bold Brave kind people in this world & less selfish self centred "nowt to do with me" attitudes After all he did he didnt seek gratitude nor infamy he did what he could & then moved on to do more great with his helping less fortunate people around him I still cannot fathom why people still deny that the #holocaust happened its crazy & so wrong on so many levels I know also Marcel Marceau then a v young man also worked with catholic nuns to help jewish kids escape I urge people to learn his story another Hero!! But back to Nicholas I read his heart always was heavy for the kids that never made it that must have hit him so very hard. But you did what you could & in reality you saved multiple people through those 669 kids.. THANKYOU Sir Nick I hope you were met at the pearly gates by the poor unfortunate mums n dads to show their love & gratitude to you

His story reminds me of Irene Sandler who saved 2,000 children from the ghetto in Poland who was nominated for a Noble Peace Prize. She didn't win. Al Gore did! What a travesty!!

What a shame that USA turned down taking those children in along with other countries. Hats off England. Then they come around saving the remains adults through liberation, if only, USA and other countries had come in earlier and attacked Hitler and saved those lives, millions would not have died. If only, the good guys had brought in enough planes and trains to save all Jews and prisoners of war, the concentration camps would not have been filled up. Such a chaos was going on then. Monstrous era.

Heartbreaking hearing those talk about their parents letting them go to the UK. No one knew what was going to happen to anyone any child - bombings of London and British towns too. When the kids of the British cities were sent to the country to farms to be safe. Hopefully. A remarkable achievement from Mr Winter and to keep it a secret - why? That secret is an achievement in itself in that time and today’s day and age. Well done. 🙏

The US helped Adolf Hitler rise to power. I'm not surprised that the US could not help the children. Such a tragic decision.

I love this miniseries. Basically is Israel's answer to Narcos. It is like a spiritual sequel to that, set in Columbia and against the cartels, only in more recent times.

I saw a really good documentary on Sophie Tucker. I knew she was big, but they mentioned she was one of the most famous actors/singers in the world at the time..........gee who knew. I think it was great she took Judy under her wing.

I've watched a lot of French movies in my lifetime, but I did not know most actors in here. Were they ever GOOD!!! Sure, it's a courtroom drama, but the acting is sublime and the dialogue superb. Riveting. It's like Into the Wild, or Mar Adentro, you totally forget it's acted. Impressive...
