I have been rifle shooting for years. Even the most basic rifle scope with rings will get you in the $600 range. Now at the rate of posting this I just spent $700 on the Matthews new UV slider. Why would I spend that much? Simple it fixed all my issues. The light is awesome, small size, well built, and perfect fit for my Mathews V3X. For me it was worth it. The top end of sites for bows is the bottom end of the rifle market.

Will never use ABB again! Center serving kept separating and string started unraveling everywhere. Never an issue with GAS Strings or Unbound strings.

My question is this: do the marks on top and bottom limbs need to be matching before you start the tuning process? I ask because i just bought one and out of the box the top limb is closer to the cam than the bottom limb. One graduation mark closer to be exact.

Strings look awesome!
@James.712Ай бұрын
Overlooked.... that after the break-in, it likely will be slightly out of time, thus necessitating the need for a press. Until Mathews can come up with something similar to bow tech's time lock, a press will still be needed. Don't get me wrong, I like the jump to the limbshift, but I think investing in a press and drawboard is a better ROI than just pouring another $1500 into the LiftX

It’s not the amount it’s the fact people are being ripped off. This sight price along with several other brands are ridiculous. I wonder if the employees of these companies have received very nice pay raises to match up with the crazy prices or are companies still blaming COVID? Every business there is makes huge mark ups from the grocery store to ammo store to the arrow company. Except for Easton all the arrows are made overseas with cheap labor and the markup is ridiculous. That’s why there’s 55 places to buy arrows

$600 is a tough pill to swallow even though that sight is nice. I just got a HHA Tetra Ryz X3 and that was $500. Nice thing was I was able to customize my pin colors and sizes. As long as people keep buying it though, UV will know their prices aren't too high.

Personally, I hate horizontal pins, & I haven't used horizontal pins in over 30 years. I prefer keeping things simple. I don't hunt with multiple pins or a movable pin sight. I am usually pulled back long before the shot. The shot may be 15 yards or 30 yards. I don't determine that. The live game determines that. I instinctively know where to put a single fixed vertical pin. I never practice with a rangefinder, & I don't need one to know if the shot will be a good one. When it's crunch time, I don't want to be messing with my sight or picking pins. If someone gave me the UV Slider for free, I wouldn't use it. I prefer my simple single pin sight made for youth (HHA Optimizer Cadet). My brother uses the same youth sight. We prefer KISS, and we have been doing this a long time. If my goal was to kill 3-D targets, I may use a movable pin sight (but I have never owned one).
