At the moment plastic straws are being phased out because pretty soon they will be illegal in Canada, are paper straws strong enough to punch through these lids? Are these lids recyclable? If they are not how hard is it to take the lids off the cup?

do you know sell good pp cups? I am currently using the pp 16 oz from karat and it is very thin that sometimes it will Crack on the side.

Due to competition, manufacturers lower prices by reducing the thickness of the cup or they introduce larger amounts of (non-virgin PP) into the cup. Usually, customers looking for a higher-end cup go with PET cups. Yes, the PET cups seal just fine as long as you use PET film with your PET cup.

Yes, in this Boba Tea cup sealing application all sealing machines can use both PP and PET film. You can play with the timer delay settings so you can seal the cup for longer if the film is not sticking. Or temperature settings to fine tune your machine to be just right for your cup/film combination. But I have found that factory settings pretty much work for both PP and PET since there is not much variation in film thickness.

There is, out there, in the world wide web. I don't know anything about them but think about Maruchan Instant Noodles foam cup, it is sealed. So yes it is possible.

That is correct. Thank you for pointing that out and bringing it to attention. You must buy film that is the same material as your cups.

This setup is a permeant seal, unlike yoghurt cups. Same style of machine is/can used for yoghurt style tearing open but the difference is in the material of the film cup combo

Hi! Can you please tell me why my machine wastes A LOT of film? I set the black square right in the eye, but it passes like five squares before it cuts and seal.

Could be the sensitivity of the eye. The sensor may have a flat head adjustable screw (usually a plastic screw) that increases/decreases sensitivity. Increase sensitivity in quarter turn increments and test.

in the ballpark of $500 for 5000 cups add $100 for shipping. It really depends on many factors like what size cups you want, how many you want, where is your delivery zip code etc..
