Finally someone else has the same problems like me - its hard when you have bad feelings about fujifilm gfx cameras and nobody understands your pain

for me the 55mmf1.7 is the best of all by far for 2 reasons : it's the sharpest and fastest but it is also the one giving the MF look ( wide angle with narrow DOF )

This is just plain IDIOTIC not to add this feature to A7s but add it to already ridiculous resolution camera's. Who needs 240Mp??? 60Mp is already too much and sensitivity is suffering. For most cases 12Mp is more than enough. Sony A7s III could have made use of this feature.

What I find interesting, as GFX user, that on the same size sensor, Hasselblad have a 90mm for their X cameras, plus an 80mm but no 110mm. But also a 135. Thoughts?

Uh dude the only function for thst macro tube is to take the 2:1 macro lens to 1:1, literally useless without the macro lens, I have both and it works great, but yeah you have to to get crazy close for 1:1, you are most definitely not a macro man!

Best example for just buying stuff without any information upfront... A 15 minute education tour on google would have told you most of your errors. You compare an X-T4 with an 80mm dedicated Macro-Lens to a 64 mm Medium-Format GFX Lens with a Macro-Ring and wonder why the DOP is so insane thin. To me it seems you just lack fundamental knowledge of how things work.

Shot a whole bunch of pics on the X-pan setting, got home dumped the card only to find all the pics were in 4:3 like normal. How does one set GFX so that when I say i want to take a photo in a specific mode, that photo will represent that choice when pulling it from the card? Also does anyone know what aspect ratio x-pan or dual 35mm is?

I have the 55mm f/1.7 and the 45mm f/2.8. It’s around a 43mm and 35mm equivalent. There’s no need to own both. So similar. But I can’t bring myself to sell either because they both have j’wah.

The sickest of the sick of these generally sick lenses 😂 has to be the GF 110 f2! I do love the gf 32-64, but the 20-35 is increasingly taking over for the landscape photos I take… You should try the 20-35… what a lens! Ps… don’t get the GF macro, either get a Mamiya macro and adapt it, or get the XF 80 mm macro instead for the X-cameras… a much better true 1:1 macro lens, than the 1:0.5 of the GF 120 mm macro

Love it, Keep them coming! I own the 80mm and the sharpness difference isn't truly visible until 300% pixel peeping (who the hell cares). This is having shot in studio at F8. Don't use it wide open enough to be concerned with CAs. The difference maker for me was about $1000 CAD in used prices and more importantly, as you mention, the versatility.

In the past few days I've (foolishly, sob!) bought into the GFX system. However, such is the current lens discounting - won't last - and the personal discount on the camera body, that I've received the GFX100 S ii, plus three lenses for less than the similar setup with Sony full frame. But here's the thing, Park Cameras also gave me both extension tubes for absolutely nothing. Nada. So while macro interests me, having messed about with tubes on the X system, and knowing just how fist-bitingly frustrating it is, I'm off to Ebay to flog them and to bag a very nice little cash bonus. I also explained to my wife just how interesting the 110mm macro tilt shift lens is but she saw the price. I got the look. Sigh.

I’m a full time professional commercial photographer and I just recently switched over from canon to Fuji. I bought the gfx 50s ii and also purchased the 23, 45, 55, 80 & 110 all at the same time. After my first shoot I definitely found I needed something in between the 23 and 45. I’m not finding much crossover in these actually. The 80 and 110 are essential in my studio and they render differently. The 110 pushed the background out harder which is awesome for head/face shots. I definitely want to add the 30 next but I did find that the 63mm would be unnecessary.

Just subscribed because A. I trust Cigar Smokers (smoked Fuentes Churchills for years). B. You're not a douche bag camera reviewer. /. Debating upgrading 50Sii to either 100S or 100Sii? New to Fuji X Series and to GFX (3 months). 50 Sii nice when it's successful. Retired to Japan almost 3 years ago to just outside Tokyo. BTW, the pilgrimage of Foreign photographers here taking photos everywhere is annoying. You can't take a shot without getting a pic of 10 other KZbinrs or photographers.in the frame. Really that bad! Great stuff and style! Especially like the B&W at the Occulus. The music made me Feel like it's 1975 Sunday nights watching Python. Yeah... keep it up...because your stuff is "Completely Different"! Cheers!

In your test, F/11 is too small for pixel shift. The GFX 100mp sensor is diffraction limited at f/7.1 which means diffraction blur is the limit of achievable resolution for all aperture’s smaller than f/7.1. Adding more pixels will not improve the image. So you really need to use the sharpest aperture the lens has to offer when using this feature. That usually means f/5.6 or f/4. Too wide and you have aberration limited performance. So for each lens you need to determine and use the sharpest aperture to get the best results.

Review of 6 Lenses an extension tube and a camera in 12 minutes, just perfect. I own the bulky GFX 50s and also the 110. It’s so big together I had to buy the battery grip just to make it even bigger. 😂 I loooove the system.

On the 110mm it works well. F11. 1/160th then adjust exposure with the iso. I can perform the image lol with a monopod
