What is so delicious about this performance is that, technically, the moves themselves are not very hard and yet the end result is stunning. While the moves are expertly executed, for sure, it's a reminder to all magicians that performance and style matter so much more than "impressive" moves.

Wow that switch at end was so good. It makes you look slightly clumsy, which convinces people that it couldn’t have been an extremely precise move which it was.

The fact that the palming hand and the misdirection hand are literally performing the opposite roles of what he’s saying while he’s telling them makes this incredibly brilliant and smooth. Just excellent

Interesting , but I believe William's instincts were correct: it's better with the chiffon scarf covering the cage as he usually performed it. (I assume the director of the movie Presto asked for this "naked" version?)

Oh you really added that much variation to this classic 4 ring trick, it's so fun to watch. Although I know how to perform it but it's really difficult to add that much variations on it.

I gotta say, Pop Haydn has to be one of my favourite magicians of all time. Yes, I know how the effects are done. He does the oldest, most commonly performed, classic effects in magic. And yet every time I see him, his performances are utterly entrancing. Somebody once said that you have to persuade the audience to like YOU, the magician, or they just won't care about the magic, and that's exactly what Pop does. If there's a magician out there who is better at seducing his audience and persuading them to care about him -- well, I've never seen them. David WIlliamson, perhaps? Williamson isn't 'better' but him and Pop might be on a par with each other. Like Pop, Williamson does a lot of routines that wouldn't fool a magician -- but that's not the point. Audiences love *them* as performers. The magic is just a vehicle through which we get to know them. Fantastic clip.
