We love this game. But only played as pure as possible. This means no clans, no creatures. Every player starts the same. And cause battles outcome is the weakness of the game, we give in a house rule, four winning points to the winner of battles. This seems very approbiate causung the risk of battles. But a great, fast paced game.

Super fun and all groups I have taught this to have wanted their own copy. Have been playing this for a few years now, mostly 2 player and best of 3. Tried out a 6 player and it does take longer when everyone is new OR if someone starts overthinkiong it during their turn. But even then, it can be worse for heavier games in terms of waiting. It seems took a while for board game reviewers to pick this up and I hope it catches on. I have seen not all people love it online but the game is easy to teach, easy to play and fast paced enough. Also, very much depends on a person's game experience. People who game more, pick up tactics and strategy quick. People who are newer to games might need more time figuring it out and might benefit from either a smaller table of players or similar skill level players.

Hey guys, thanks so much for covering Yield ❤ For a better catchup we now decided that you don't discard Battle cards but simply draw 5 cards when not flipping your strategy cards. Also please remember that the victorious player decides where the losing player retreats to :-) Enjoy your plays!

I bought this game after having a demo of it at the UK Games expo this weekend. Then played it again with two friends. It's great fun. A pacy, thematic simulation of the final hour of a 70s Dirty Harry or Shaft type movie, and with a lot of fun decisions for both cops and killer. I especially like the choice between moving or drawing a card because both are really important. There was genuine fun tension. I really like the very low downtime, non-existent bookkeeping and general speed of it. The only negatives for me are that the crucial deduction element can't alter how luck is a big part of this - although clever players can mitigate the luck a bit and have a lot of fun doing it. Plus the rules include a few hard-to-remember edge cases (for a casual game) that mean you have to study the rulebook more than average for a game that might only last 75 minutes (or, like me, you can write an insert covering some 'hard to remember' rules).

I backed the Kickstarter and can't wait for my copy of the game to arrive. Probably the game I'm looking forward to the most. Glad to hear it's getting positive reviews.

Totally agree with the overload of colors/information on the tiles... I would like to back Garden Geckos but I hesitate because of this... A quieter color scheme of the tiles together with the wooden geckos as they are now would be an instant back for me...

Wow. I'm amazed by this video. There are not 2 of you.. Not even 3.. And none of you thought to tell the other: "Maybe we should show them briefly how to play each of those games, Or even upload a video for each game separately, Instead of speaking with enthusiasm for about half an hour and show them fractions.." ? Boy, do any of you can try to think himself as a viewer, Ask if this is how he would like to get an information about a new game, And answer himself objectively: "Well of course I do! I always watch content providers talked about new games instead of showing them", Then... you might want to reconsider your paradigm. - Anyway, until now,. I never met people with that approach, so it amazed me - To be a witness for four at once. Good luck

Thanks for the great review! Note that the game says for '4-7'. 😛 I think it is actually playable with 8, you just need to pass the voting cards around. I definitely agree that the higher playercounts work best. But even at 4, there's a chance that voters could get more pts than the scenario setter, which can be an exciting moment.

hey! love this game! nice format for the review! Could you help me with a little doubt: I still can't sort out how are the special grey modifiers supposed to be played. For example if I put the one that allows me to recruit for 1 rice in the producción action, does that means that I can recruit when I do that, with a green die?
@PedroHGoes-ix9oe Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can.
@paperzigz Жыл бұрын
Feedback from Scott Almes :) 1) For the robots, you can only use a robot for a Ship action if you used all your dice for the target location. For example, if you take a deep space action (using all three dice) you can use a robot for a ship action. But if you only use two dice for a target location, then the third dice for a ship action, you cannot use a robot for an additional ship action. I saw this first in turn 3 when the 4-pip robot was used, but was done a few times afterwards too. This resulted in a lot of extra ship actions. 2) The weapon officer allows you to target extra enemies.. but the total number of enemies should be equal to the number of lasers. So, the officer doesn't give you a benefit until you get the 2nd laser. 2 lasers would allow you to target just 2, not 3.

It's a cool channel and good reviews, but I think you'd reach a broader audience if you record some gameplay. You could do some full-game episodes or throw certain moments into these videos that would show the game in more detail, but it's up to you of course. In any way- great vid.

Thanks for the encouragement and suggestions... This is a hobby of ours and so time is always not on our side. We only get to play for a few hours a week and we all have our own games that we want to play as well as the reviews we do. All that you have suggested adds more time to what we already struggle to get in.. We plan to have some playthroughs coming soon. And if we ever get the time we want to give our top ten of board games .. Thanks again.

@@HairyGameLords It's understandable, one thing I can say for certain is that you shouldn't push yourselves to pump out more videos if you don't have time. What ultimately matters is that you have fun. Making great reviews while managing every moment is amazing in itself, so don't take any suggestions as something you must or even should do, all in all it's your channel, and you should be proud of it.
