I remember y’all from last year. I still watch y’all’s video from last year cause I enjoy watching it. My band is called West Harrison high school, but this year we didn’t go to Orlando, but another school from our district did. Harrison central high school went instead of us.

I just saw this band at my Lake Brantley home game and they ate us up

I was down in Pembroke Pines for my granddaughter's final senior marching competitions in West Broward Performance Ensemble. She was the percussion battery captain. I was so impressed with University's show. I know what each and every kid on that field, from every band, had to do to be there. The hours, the dedication, the fundraising, the heat. My heart sank when the sound equipment sputtered. I'm so sorry that happened to them, it didn't deter from their talent, but that wasn't what the score sheet shows. I came across this video when I was searching for something else and decided to check it out. I skimmed through the stills and some of the warmups. I always get teary when I see finals, I keep thinking to myself, do they realize this is the very last time they'll perform this show? The two speeches, at the truck, after your final got my eyes watering. I was a slobbering mess when you all started singing and then the brass came in. It was beautiful, so touching and something that will long be remembered. Although I was thrilled for West Broward's win, I think the kids of the University High School Marching Band got so much more out of it.
