Something I do occasionally is write a scripture on one side of an a6 card and then write a prayer on the other side. For those days when I can't find the words. So I have a positive scripture on the front, then I pray the scripture and write it down on the back. ❤

I am 58. Also a ME/CFS and fibromyalgia sufferer since I was 21. It is such a pity that KZbin does not see this illness journey as important to cancer or disabled people in wheel chairs. It just shows how little they really know about this illness and how debilitating this really is. I had to stop working when I was 30 years old. Pain that never goes away, is mentally and physically exhausting.

Your granddad is an inspiration for me. I also want to be independent even when I am old. He didn't want to be a "burden" on people and when the time came God took him, so that he didn't have to lose his independence. I think his desire was granted. That was a blessing in disguise.

Btw, I don't remember if I was there during your baptism, but the fact that you did it despite the crutches is very inspiring!

It's interesting that I don't remember having doubts before baptism, however at one point several months after baptism I had a thought that: "God doesn't exist" come into my head and I immediately thought that was Satan, because I always knew God existed even though I didn't know him. I never met Adventists in my life, but after became one I met a Reformed Adventist in the shop I worked at during summer and I thought that can't be a coincidence, but God explicitly showed me that it's not my path. This is how Satan tried to pull me away from the truth again. The Battle is Real, but So Is God!

When I started coming to church I also remember not staying for the evening programme. I felt a bit intimidated by the fact of spending a whole day in church and didn't want to leave my husband alone for the whole day. But then, staying over kind of grew on me, also as my faith got stronger. And now I believe that it's very important to use lunch time to bond with people in church.

Great testimony. I chose Events Management when I went to uni, and I don't remember asking God whether this was my path. So eventually, during my second year of studies, when I became and Adventist I realised that I can't be a conventional events manager because most events happen on Saturday. But nevertheless, I was able to use my degree and skills learned in other areas and to get other jobs and experience.

I've only applied to UCLan and got accepted. I thank God for bringing me into this small Priest town, where he has the best spiritual family possible.
