Hey Ben, new subscriber loving your content. I'm attempting to reboot my DJ business, I've been taking notes 🤔. What I'm thinking with your first canceled client was that there might've been a big chance that they required the funds for the treatment. It's amazing how many times insurance companies refuse to pay for lifesaving cancer treatments altogether or slam the patient with a huge out of pocket expense before they'll even cover anything. As a cancer survivor myself I've been there on the insurance front before and that would totally make sense. as for your second canceled client, not sure what happened there, curious if you have any updates there. But the best thing to do when a cancellation occurs is keep on going. Much love from Wisconsin, keep up the good work 👍 👍.

Forget about all this computer djing and controllers stay with the turntables DVS there more reliable.

I've had a rev 7 give me several issues at a wedding. 1 the jog wheel only went in reverse, yes I pressed q or whatever button it is. I restarted it. This was during introduction. Then it just kept dropping music. I loved it but it continued to give me problems. Needles to say i got rid of it for a prime 4 plus

Damn bro I just bought a Rev 7 and have seen yours and DJ DU say the same thing. His power brick died and wouldn’t turn on his rev 7 at a gig as well.

Dang it bro. Have the REV7 and haven’t had issues yet but they are out there. I’ve seen others run into 2 main issues so far causing these fails on the REV7 1- Dust underneath platters - messes up sensors big time 2a- External Power Adapter fails (Pri Yon Joni has great vids for two viable backups from Amazon) 2b- Power conditioner (if you don’t already but can take a manageable one with, its worth considering) No surprise these units are more sensitive and less well built. Seems like most have Too many features to keep them well designed and affordably well built.

seen it happen even at Ultra & EDC. Those badboy expensive decks will give out too. Everyone has backup all the time, but as mobile DJs thats a different story. This is why im always scared of taking wedding gigs, hats off to you sir!

I would recommend that you take a small backup controller to mobile gigs especially something like weddings. I use the reloop buddy as my backup.

DJAY Pro and your phone preferably iOS, or an iPad as a backup.

I like standalone players (tts, cds, whatever) and a mixer. They can control the software, if a device breaks, replace it, if Computer fails, you can keep playing. You can put a tiny mixer before with an mp3 player (and many mikes) with 1 hour pre mixed songs. If anything happens you are completely covered. Thats like a club setting. Another option is to have a small controller and other computer as a backup. The external mixer before the amp is also recomended. Thats like the standard setup for mobile events. In the clubs is the same. I had a rev and it broke, so i sold it. Now i go with a numark ns7iii and for Backup an old vestax vci. I migrated to virtualdj for controller flexibility, way better than rekorbox or serato regarding compatibility. I use pc, its cheaper, i have 2, one gamer laptop and a smaller dell. My light and video (if its neccessry) runs through the same pc and never had a problem. Plenty of Processing power for stems, lights and video (multicamsetup) and streaming if you like.

Hey Ben. Best bet, get USB-c hub which has 3.5mm jack out. That’s your fail safe from Mac to speaker IF needed. Also maybe worth looking at something like the Mackie MobileMix 8 mini mixer, great for ceremonies and as a main mini mixer for your controller or again Mac to mixer with more control and BT audio. Also runs off a power bank if needed. 👍

Do you put the music mp3 files that you got from record pools into a folder first on the laptop and then put those into serato dj pro and then add those to created crates OR do you transfer all the music that you selected from record pools at one time and then put that music in serato dj pro and then create a crate? If this makes sense please let me know your opinion 🙏🏾

Thanks for posting this! I do mobile events in the bay. Been on a DDR SR for hella years. I recently saw a video where DJ Flipside used a Rane One controller and I had never seen a contoller with Pitch Bend !!! Come to find out this is one of the few controllers that has it!! Also I've been on turntables + phase on twitch & an S7 so it really feels like a transition to this Rev & would be super seamless for me!

I have owned my REV 7 for about a year and a half and I have never regretted my decision to spend those duckets. I also bought a Deck Saver cover for $100 and a PRO X ATA Flite Case for the road, heavy but bullet proof when combined with the Deck Saver...

@deewizzard8083 ай бұрын
not accurate. @serato is the standard . some people habe switched but if you are a tour dj, club dj or dj anywhere they have a setup you can bet serato will be used . Im guessing you must not travel like i do because every city i go to the standard is Serato

@@deewizzard808 I do know that Serato is popular because it was one the 1st dj software. It just became popular because certain hiphop DJs used it. But it’s getting phased out because Djay is simply better in sooooo many ways

I've had cancellations before and I try to find out why. Did I not appear professional enough, was there a lower price offered, is a friend suddenly doing it? The main thing is I never take it personally but always try and improve. Regarding deposits or retainers I don't ask for much and its sated in my contracts that this is non refundable as a way of holding their date. I have made partial refunds when I have not done a lot of work or if the date is far out in advance.

You have a great Controller with better sound quality. Unless you are with a band don’t use a mixer . You will notice the sound quality from Rev7 is better than from Yamaha MG10
