As far as depictions of an alien species and how different they are, this is right up there. Their spaceships, how they collect resources, how they enter warp is all completely different.

Yeah, he is cheating 100%, i ran into him at Shinrata when he was flying a Thargoid Hydra. Shame Frontier dont/cant do anything, obviously they have no control over their own game.

Open play is great, unfortunate you had to come across this. I have thousands of hours and exclusively play in open, and have never come across a cheater as far as I am aware

The only thing you can do, is reporting the CMDR name to Forntier, and linking them this video. They can analyse/verify and eventually ban the user.

He literally didnt care because even if hes banned he'll just be back because frontier will fundamentally do nothing about what allows this. Oh no, anyway. I stay out of open. Either solo or private groups. I'll do open once in a while but never for any grinding or when im trying to do something specific.

Lol same cmdr killed me in system where megaship dedicant is in. He uses thargoid shutdown field along with swarm pack hounds and other godly weapons. Elite dangerous have great issues but the biggest is those scumbags that destroys whats left on this marvelous game.

Bought the game in beta. I have never played in open. Humans dont just suck, they suck out loud and why open yourself up to frustration if you have a choice? I Dabble in Star Citizen as well and that mess is its own problem but I have met some good people in there. I played EvE online on 5 accts for 7 years. Sometimes you meet decent people sometimes the other kind. If given a choice I play almost everything solo. Sometimes if not given a choice I will spend my money elsewhere. I play NMS offline as well. Been gaming since modems ran at 300 bd with PBM (play by mail) systems.

i only ever played in openplay for player interaction, cause that's what made it fun for me. up onto leaving the game in like 2018 cause i kept getting hit by a players doing this shit. frontier don't give a shit what players do, almost as if like what we do in the end does not matter?!. 1. That flip is called FA-Off. I use it when interdicted in my Anaconda. A chieftain is going to swap ends a heck of a lot faster than my Conda will. It gives me the time to get a target lock and run a kill warrant scan Boost - hit toggle for FA-Off - throttle at 0 - swap ends. 2. Torpedoes are slower than missiles but if you're not expecting it and boosting straight at your target you'll run right into it. And torpedoes can be engineered to attack your shield generator directly. Much of anything less than a size #6 prismatic shield can be taken out completely with a single torpedo hit. 3. Containment missiles (power play module) cause your FSD to reboot. There's one or two engineers out in Colonia with the blueprint to use on seekers. 4. You might be surprised at just how fast pack hounds can fire. My Conda sports a pair of pack hounds, engineered for high cap magazine. Get target lock, press and hold the trigger and it can pump out 5 sometimes 6 volleys of 8 missiles in a very few seconds. That's 40 - 48 missiles coming at you. Engineered pack hounds are kind of prone to malfunction with the result of them firing most or even all of a full magazine in a single run. Engineered high cap is 240 missiles per module. Now, is it POSSIBLE the pilot was using a hack or cheat? Hell, most anything is possible. They even had some folks figure out how to get to fly Thargoid Interceptors. But it's also possible it's completely legit.

1. a Chieftain is maneuverable, but not this way 2. There were no Torps. I am using Torps with cascading effect. Feel free to view my other videos. 3. There were no Groms. The only ones were on my build, unused. 4. There were more Packhounds, than possible. Shot with an impossible rate.

With your vast knowledge and skill it is obvious to all and sundry that no living creature in existence could possibly defeat you unless they were using any number of cheats and hacks. 0:40 Set the video to x0.25 speed. No rocket(grom)/torpedo (reverb) trails are observed, only a hit from a bunch of railguns.Distance is bigger than 4km at that point. Result - full breakdown 😅of his shield + fsd reboot notification. Yeah, surely that was legit, buddy~

@@parad0x1e fail. Dumbfire missiles and torpedoes don't put out any trail to be observed. Only Seekers and Pack Hounds. As well, the shields went down and the fsd rebooted before that attack being attributed to railguns. Unlike every other weapon, Dumbfire Missiles and Torpedoes do not have a maximum range or damage falloff. They just keep going till they hit something. Seekers and Pack Hounds max at a bit over 7 Km (farther than our hero's sensors can see). If they fail to hit a target before that they self destruct. I might add, TheDisacoustic might be well served as a Bounty Hunter by engineering his sensors long range. At least take the very few seconds to view internals before starting the dance. If you know what weaponry you're up against and all that. As stated, is it POSSIBLE the Dude was using a cheat or hack? Most anything is possible. But lacking evidence more compelling than CAUSE YOU SAID SO, there is reasonable doubt.

Hi Disacoustic! Long time since our wonderful CQC adventures. It seems that there is a lot of dodginess going on right now and it looks like you got caught up in it. I think they are mainly targeting commanders who are streaming, and I think their hacking only works in Open. It's sad to see the sad people who feel they have to do this for attention.

Hey o7 it is quite a long time. ... This was my first experience, with that quality of obvious cheating. And I encounter a lot of Cmdr when I hunt for bounties, interdicting them, scanning, and if there is a warrant, shooting.

The few times I joined multiplayer, people would interdict me for no reason. I only wished I was a hacker when that happened. However, you can see what someone else's ship is and nobody interdicts someone if he thinks he might lose. It's a system made for bullying. Now I play solo exclusively.

In my roleplay as Bountyhunter I am interdicting other players. It is neccessary to scan them with the Kill-Warrantscanner. If they are clean, I let them go.

The turn when he dropped out of FSD looked very robotic but I guess that could just be poo netcode or lag. Not sure I saw anything that looked profoundly "cheaty" though.

Yeah i though pack hounds (iirc thats what those missles are) have like a 1 or 2 second burst and a few second reload right? And like maybe a 10th of what he fired. Either cheating or found an exploit in the game that let them bypass the reload?

Elite Dangerous is dead and buried. FDev have killed off any chance it ever had of a sustainable community. It only takes one experience like this in Open to put people off for good if they are even willing to endure the ultra shallow ocean that Elite Dangerous is. Doesn't matter if it took years for you. Once is enough for most people.
