Mick, everyone is so high on our team after we beat a ridiculously bad WKU team 63-0. We'll see how good we are against Georgia. Jake, you are way off about Milroe. He was, at best, average last year. He held the ball too long. He took needless sacks. He had no pocket presence or anticipation of the rush. He never checked down even when the RBs were wide open in the flat. He didn't go through his progressions. He struggled to read defenses. In the second half of the season, he struggled against Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Georgia before Michigan finally exposed his flaws. And the same thing is likely to happen this year -- he will excel against average and even good teams, but get shut down by elite defenses. Jake, the fact that you are surprised that people have concerns about Milroe -- who is in his fourth year in the program, and still a "work in progress" -- seems dishonest to me. You won a national championship and were an NFL-caliber quarterback; I cannot believe that you don't have the same concerns and see the same flaws. Take even a brief glance at the NFL scouting reports on him. Look, I love Milroe. He is an amazing person and an incredible leader, and will have an incredibly successful life. But I don't think he is a quarterback, and we will likely have the same outcome as we did last year. And I'm tired of everyone saying how Milroe will win the Heisman when he has done nothing to deserve that hype. Ty Simpson is the better quarterback, but he never had a chance to challenge for the job because the players were so unconditionally behind Milroe that DeBoer could not possibly open up the job to competition. Ultimately, Jake, I'd appreciate it if you provided more substantive analysis when you are on the show. The jokes and laughing aren't why I come here to watch this show. And I'm tired of people trashing anyone who criticizes Milroe.
