It will be awesome to be able to use the machine wirelessly without needing to plug the USB before the process (my usb port broke)

I like the fact that you could calibrate the flip stops and make them perfectly square

Those miter stops are great. I'm going to go check out the link and watch the full tutorial video thanks

Nice torsion box, as it looks like you made a lot cool addons for your Dewalt table saw. Looking forward to those build videos!

Those are the way to be the best DIY flip stops that I have seen for the miter saw. I dig that you can add multiple stops that are set in place when you have to do repeated cuts.. Will be waiting for part 2!!

Not sure why it's set to 400 x 800.... when it's a 400x400 work area

I noticed my burns not as dark, checked the lens and there was a square burn through the polarized coating. Luckily not cracked, and replaced with the 1spare that came with 10w module i got. ive varely used it though, i hope its going to chew lenses. I did have some bounce back from shiny material that could have done it.

You can do this on laserGBRL too, just fyi

Been having this idea and kept googling to see if anyone has done this. This is the first video I've found that tests the idea. It makes sense. 🤷🏽♂️👍

If you are using LightBurn, you can turn on the Cross-Hatch feature on your layer and it will automatically do the 2nd pass at 90 degrees.

How is the burning on the underside? I'd think that without space for air to move it'd burn the bottom a bit. Nice idea :D

That doesn’t look like 3/4 pvc. Those look a lot fatter than 3/4. Lol

It's ok to let the camera sit still once in a while. It doesn't have to be moving the whole time. This video left me feeling like I just got off of a really bad roller coaster ride

Do I need to do any commands to undo this or just switch back to the USB device in Light Burn? Since trying this my laser won't connect. I have an xTool D1 Pro.

How's it working for you? Is it as good as the usb connection? BTW Thanks! I have a NEJE that I'm going to run with MKS Tinybee ESP32 controller. I followed your video and Lightburn recognized it right away.

Well done those look really good! Do you have the 10W or 20W laser? I have seen several videos where the light shield has been removed from the LM3. Is this so you can see the work better while engraving?

I just watched your other videos on using the steel peg board for the laser surface and went ahead and ordered one from HomeDepot as this is a great idea. In my case I'm using my cnc machine for both carving and using the laser on it as well and really like this idea. My surface area on the cnc is 20 x 24 so the 16 inch square should be fine for my laser projects. Thanks fort the idea ! I will subscribe as well. Cheers from Utah. ;-)

Hi mate, how did you afix your wire method to the laser please? Do you have the compressor hooked up to both the laser and your version of air assist? Cheers!

Thanks for that, this little project gave me many learning opportunities, 1 how to use lightburn a little better, how to set up the cuts etc in lightburn and make something useful, made mine slightly different, but thanks for the original idea and cheapness of this solution, so much better than the big wooden blocks I had been using.

Great idea. I meant to ask if you raised the work from the bed and now I see. I have this same set up and will try with the screw heads..I also figured out a cheap and easy air assist using a waterpik connector and zip ties..

When you say you would make second pass at 90° angle, do you mean horizontal for the 1st and vertical for the second?
@therufflifeinc Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is what I was thinking. Since I am trying higher speeds and lower power I am doing 2 passes. Which it seemed to work well with not warping the thin metal. But on the Join or die logo I screwed the graphic mask up as I did not want the big black bar 😂. As that part kind of warped the metal a bit but i was able bend it back with my hands. But you can see the horizontal lines on that box. It just seems logical going the opposite direction like you mentioned would be more uniform. That is just my theory until i try it. I did order another wallet to give another try. But I am with results so far.
