bloody hell - I moved from SV650 to Tracer 9 GT and the first thing (after engine) that made me in love with this bike was exactly quickshifter - amazing improvement in the comfort department ;-) my helmet is Schuberth C5 and it fits exactly into the side panniers ;-)

super nice - a lifesaver. Question: does this cover reduce the clearance? I have Tracer 9 GT and I am suprised how low it stands (130mm or so)

See the air vent slots on the top of the dash/gauges? That is where you place the fuel cap (inverted) when you fuel up. Slides right in the slot. No need to hold the cap in your hand.

Btw, agreed, gs is better for more spirited and european riding.. in the states. I ejoyed our gs\gsa. But for 2 up in the states…went to goldwing..heh..will probably change in a couple of years again…forgot to mention..thanks for the good\honest review..some items in the movie made me laugh and agreed old tech and playing “whac a mole” by pressing button after button to get the compartments opened.

Bought gl1800 ‘24 a month or so ago…have had other race\touring motorcross mx…i would suggest passing might want to down shift on this bike..ultimately i will get the BT-moto flash upgrade…IMHO it does not have the BMW flick-ability of the 1600’s or even 1200lt’s , the coolness of the HD appeal , the screen tech of the newer road glides, the seat \leg comfort of the newer indians, that being said..i can go on..for 2 up cadillac riding this is the best of all worlds for us.

Good review. Best idea is to rent the bike and try it out. I sat on one last week at the dealer and I felt it was too heavy. I’m sure it’s fine. Going down the road. But I wouldn’t want to pick it up.

I presume you are keeping your Tracer 9GT? Am in Spain on my BMW R9T , can manage 500km per day with an air cushion but it has torque and shaft drive, am 5’ 7” so the GS is too tall especially for touring small villages. 96% of bikes going onto the ferry to Spain were BMW (GSA or K1600)

Hi venax, Like you and other people i dont understand the 180kg max. I'm 103 kg equipped and my girlfriend 70 kg equipped. You add top case carrier 5kg and its done 😮. I mean when I could go to tracer 9 its only 13 kg more (193kg). How do you do with your wife and luggages ? I think its normal to be above this max load but legally its not. Thats a paradox ... Also great contents, regards from France !

Hi. I've come to this by accidence and I'd very like to hear your opinion. I have a brand new Tracer 7, with only about 800km done. I am very satisfies except one thing that is most important - I am riding with passenger all my longer journeys and I find it little too small as we are pretty squizzed and that bothers me a lot (also have some back problems) since any longer ride is little painfull (it is ok for her but I am pushed forward). So I am seriously thinking to replace it with tracer 9. What is your experience? I am not planning to do very long rides but for a few days certainly
@venax2
@venax2 2 ай бұрын
Hi, sorry for late reply. You will have more comfort and space on Tracer 9. But today I know there are more comfortable bikes than Tracers. Maybe have a look to other OEM´s as well. For example Honda NT1100 or Suzuki S1000GX or V-Strom 800? Ask dealer for test ride, or better pay for 1 day rent and spend several hours on it. It will save you money at the end.
