There is a lot to enjoy.

When I was young I knew an old timer born in the late 1800's that told me to observe horse herds to understand the psychology of life. If you observe the herds you will pick up on a lot of small interactions.

As a general rule they do not receive veterinary care. There is some circumstance's veterinary oversight is used.

These mustangs were getting water just North of Motel 6, approximately .25 miles. It has since dried up. The Truckee River is close. And as a measure to protect them they established the North and South NV state route 439 water troughs in an effort to protect and get them out of the industrial areas,

Stagecoach, NV has a population of approximately 1904. Not sure about how many Native American Indians are in the area.Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation and Walker River Indian Reservation are nearby.

I.ve never seen any burros in the areas I visit. There are burros in southern NV.

Just lucky when I caught them at the right time.

Me too,we can get a close look at them.

Most of these are descendants of domestic horses from the early Spanish conquistadors, ranchers and settlers that had (escaped or turned loose) horses. most are the size of an average saddle horse. Sometimes you will see some that are larger like work horses.

I left them on. It will work fine either way. It's handy when you try to move the saw to a different location, you can tip it and wheel it to the new location.

The tanks are a composite material and received no other consideration. Interesting point you bring up that I never thought much about before. In the summer with these 100 degree days that water has to be hot which brings a bunch of biological problems and taste problems. On the opposite side of the coin in the winter the black tank will help to keep it from freezing. These tanks were provided by a private company that replenishes the tanks with a water truck.. I do not know about all Western states, but I have personally seen mustangs in Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. I have heard from others that there are mustangs in parts of Mexico.

Mustangs, or wild horses, can be found in these 10 western states (In accordance with Google Gemini): Arizona California Colorado Idaho Montana Nevada (home to more than half of all free-roaming mustangs in North America Microsoft Copilot) New Mexico Oregon Utah Wyoming I have no idea about Mexico. Were high desert where you see the mustangs un these videos with about 10 inches of rain per year.

The mustangs are an ongoing controversy.

Water is a problem. This source has since dried up. THis group of mustangs has moved. There is other water in the area that is available.

Some private in the industrial areas but the majority of the land in Nevada is owned by the Federal government. The Feds (Bureau of Land Management) has the primary responsibility for the Mustangs.

This is the Mustang I nicknamed "One Stop Nine" he is a regular in the videos. This is right behind the Pilot Truck Stop named One Stop Nine. He derived his nickname from the truck stop since he hangs out in this area all the time.
