Because as with any inflammation warmth won't help much ;) and wow...um..no...the soft palate does NOT rise automatically if you drop you larynx :D just test it by closing your nose with your fingers, lower your larynx and say something through your nose. I mean anyone can prove him wrong so easily...why is he telling those things??? You can train your softpalate to rise though. It is nothing more than muscle isolation just like any muscle training.

I can see why David doesn't resonate with everyone. I've attended several of his weekend workshops. Watching this you might be missing the truth of his presence. He is really present when you are working with him. This can be scary but he is also gentle and caring with people. Just having him being present is very powerful when you experience it.
