Just put a slice of bread in your brown sugar and it will keep it soft. Just change it when it dries out. I do it all the time

I think I already shared that if you put 2 or 3 bay leaves in a glass Mason jar it keeps the rice from going buggy.I recently learned that you can freeze rice for longer storage. I bought Lock-in-Lock off QVC (I know other places carry it but I just like the selection off QVC😊) for my flours and sugars and other stuff I want to put in air tight containers. I was using Tupperware but it’s old. I’ve had the Tupperware for 50 years (yes 50 years, I was married 51 years. I just recently lost my husband) and it was time to replace them. I got the containers I just need to get the stuff transferred. Also need to clean out my pantry. Lots of stuff my husband bought that I will never use. It’s getting in the right frame of mind. You are using Lock-n-Lock for your flours and sugars. The only difference from mine is I was able to get colored lids. I got red😅

I get the purina one salmon cat food, its the only one my five cats do not throw up for years now!!!! They used to throw up even before they finished eating. My ex used to call my stocking room (third bedroom) the grocery store. Im 40 miles from the nearest grocery store so it not like jump in the car n be back in 5 min. Its more like hour n half round trip minimum in rural mountains. Its hav it or do without n make do!!!! I also incorporate like rabbit bedding big bales of pine shavings (two thirds) and arm and hammer essentials litter(one third) mixed for litter. Alot cheaper and goes a super long ways.

If you don’t know, if brown sugar is something you are transferring to a container, make sure to leave it in the bag otherwise it gets hard as a rock. It’s not worth the trouble. Lesson learned.

Get some stick on led lights to put under the metal shelves where the spices, etc are. That way it will help you see the back of the shelves and see the labels better.

My doctor recommended these when I had a sore throat. Delish! I never tried the wax warmers, you got me curious now. I purchased a diffuser at Walmart along with the Better Homes “essential oils”. The diffuser uses regular tap water (clear it out with some vinegar now and then) and gives a nice amount of moisture into my winter dry air here in NC. Plus, you get to put the amount of oils that YOU want into the diffuser. Highly recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻. Hope you came thru Helene with no damage.
