I do not agree with haggling/negotiating prices. That’s just straight up disrespectful! You priced your items for a reason, you took in account for the time, materials, your skills, your blood, sweat, and tears. If someone wants your piece badly, they will happily pay for the price! I think this customer was going to buy it regardless, but wanted to see if they could get a “better deal”. If anyone tries to haggle your prices again, just straight up refuse them. It’s your right! I would not want to sell my items to someone as rude as that.

I absolutely get wanting to sell a piece, especially an expensive one. But if a customer is bullying you, get the event coordinator to step in ASAP. Also a note on haggling, while it is down to every vendor's personal preference, it can affect your fellow stall holders, as customers may then assume that all other stalls will haggle too. LOVE LOVE your fortune cookie pieces, very cute!

Hey! So glad your video came up for me as I’m trying to organize my thoughts for the upcoming holiday market in New York. The fee is definitely high even for a big city.. I usually pay $350 for a full weekend, which always ends up being profitable (sometimes more sometimes less but still). Love your vibe and insights and will definitely follow!

That is a WILD fee for a paid market! I help organize a zine fest, and our fees are $20/day for a half table at a free-to-attend fest. We prioritize low tabling fees and offer scholarships, but that's because we do it for the community and not for profit. TBH the market sounds very profit-oriented.

Hello, I am a vendor that just got approved for the Fall Chicago market. Do you think it’s worth it? The fee is pretty steep for me…. EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw your thoughts near the end. Thank you! ❤

Very satisfying watching you clean. I’m so overwhelmed right now. Preparing for my first art festival and I’m frozen. I’ve got a few more weeks… but so much to do. Trying to figure out how to inventory what I’m going to sell, price to take into account the 20% they will take from my sales… figuring out display situation etc… And my house is a mess. Thank you for your videos 🤗🥰☮️

Loved this video! It's always nice when people give really practical advice. A question I have for you - do you ever feel compelled to not present or discuss as non-binary to avoid being excluded from women-centered galleries!
@gaylesbuglife2548
@gaylesbuglife2548 Жыл бұрын
What a great question! I decided to make a tiktok answering you www.tiktok.com/t/ZTR3YRYX1/ But essentially yes. I feel compelled to not discuss being non-binary in all parts of my life. I don’t want to miss out on opportunities because of who i am. It easier to keep that part of me to myself and to the part of the internet where I know people will understand. Coming out in person once was tragic enough I really don’t ever want to do it again or at least not yet. Besides, i feel as an Afab person who presents feminine and is seen by a majority of the world in that way. I deserve a spot in a female centered gallery as much as anyone else. I’ve lived the female experience a good portion of my life.

So happy to see you posting on KZbin again!! I used to watch your vlogs all the time during quarantine so it's so cool to see how much your business has grown since then! As for the guy who was giving you a hard time, I wonder if he's just one of those older guys who gives unwanted criticism thinking that they're being helpful lol 🤔 I'm glad he still brought something at least!

Wow I like your bus and how you have it organized. I really liked the way you fixed your mattress on pallets and I was thinking the same thing if I ever find me a shorter bus to convert to my home on wheels. I didn't see that you had a shower a compost toilet and I guess you didn't have room to build one anywhere's. Do you have solar panels for your electric plug ins?
