I recorded them myself. The bass is a stock upright bass plug in VST from my DAW (Cubase) and the drums are me playing actual drums with brushes!

Beautiful playing on that guitar I would love to hear reverb on make a sound like a pedal steel guitar like Nashville what tuning is the e tuning or the D tuning love it 😁
@TomHammelMusic
@TomHammelMusic Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Paula! I actually threw quite a bit of reverb and some delay on that. The tuning on it is very similar to E9 pedal steel but with only 8 strings, I took out the 7th (F#) and 9th (D) strings from the 10 string tuning. So from low to high: E G# B E G# B Eb F# . I play a lot of E9 pedal steel and I wanted to stay with that tuning as I like the chromatic runs you can get on the top strings

Thanks! think you're referring to the ascending lines. took me a while to sort out the notes listening to Speedys version slowed to half speed. i have the notes written out by hand if you want to see those. i then translated to pedal steel and had to use pedals to avoid slants as the intervals change going up. So i imagine it would be very difficult to play on lap steel

@@TomHammelMusic Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's that part. I'm on a 8 string lapsteel figuring it out. The lowest notes form a diminished triad. If I could see that written out it would be great. I've been trying to figure it out for nearly 2 hours now
