Woody was a highly successful coach and did many good things for his players and the community; however, his success gave him "absolute power" at OSU and absolte power corrupts absolutely. Woody got "too big for his breeches" and had a history of violent outbursts, including punching a sideline cameraman in the gut after the cameraman filmed Woody flipping out on the sideline, that were tolerated while winning national championships but, like Bobby Knight, when the national championships stopped, so did the acceptance of Woody's violent outbursts. I was taught in childhood that one "ah shite" erases 100 attaboys. I don't think Woody was ever taught that lesson. I'm not a college football fan but growing up, I had a negative view of OSU well before the Clemson incident because of Woody's behavior.

About THAT call…First, Fouts gets it wrong about the play call. Krenzel was talking to Gamble, not Hartsock. But second, the NCAA did a review after the fact and determined there was indeed a penalty on the play. Now, every time I watch it, I think it looks more like holding than pass interference, but suffice it to say, it wasn’t as much of a blown call as some have argued. Sure to be endlessly debated.

At 1:36:14 we have a critical play where some Miami fans will say its a delay of game. I played this at 0.25 speed. Its so close that it looks like the center snapped it exactly when the play clock hit 00.

Blatant defensive holding on Miami not called on 3rd down with 2 minutes to go in regulation. If that is called, Ohio State wins in regulation and there is no overtime.
