One thing I'll never forget meeting Mr Price in Dangriga. I was about 11 or 12 yrs old. We spoke briefly he asked me what class I'm in n which school I'm attending. When I met him again I was 19 in the BDF n he remembered me. I was stunned by his memory.

Wow this is a beautiful video. Thank you. I'm black American - I've traced my family to North Carolina, early 1800s...and found an ancestor who was born in Barbados .... in 1899. I'm floored. He ended up in NY, and I want to learn more about his mother. I don't know if she left Barbados so I need to dig around for those.

Unfortunately, it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to be a CREOLE Belizean and a GARIFUNA Belizean.... all at the same time. Why? Because these are TWO distinct TRIBES of people with extremely strong CULTURAL values... that dates back to someone's early childhood (I.e., "RITUALS & CEREMONIES" )...In other words, you're either a KRIOL Belizean or you're not. You're either a MULATTO = BIRACIAL woman with direct European heritage...or you're an EBONY BLACK woman with indigenous heritage and no European ancestry. In other words, racial confusion is NEVER a good idea. So this explains why Belizean Historians/Authors like Emory King are such an asset to our nation. Because BELIZEANS need to know and understand exactly WHO they are...and exactly WHERE they're going.

During the transpacific slave trade Asians brought to the Americas and the Caribbean who were dark skinned were reclassified as black and light skinned Eurasians were reclassified as Indian. These groups along with the few thousands Africans brought to the Americas and the Caribbean were mixed in with the aboriginal Amerindians misclassified as African American. Indigenous aboriginal Amerindians misclassified as African American were already in the lands known as the Americas and the Caribbean before the Eurasian colonizers came to take over their lands and identity. The transatlantic slave trade has been debunked and told in reverse. The Americas and the Caribbean were called India Major or India Superior or West India years before Hindustan was renamed India. AS A GUYANESE MY STANDS IS THAT OUR OIL CONTRACT WITH EXXONMOBIL SHOULD BE RENEGOTIATE OR A REFERENDUM NOW FOR GUYANA THAT CONTRACT IS A INSULT TO THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE GUYANESE PEOPLE 87 AND A HALF FROM EXXONMOBIL AND 12 AND A HALF PERCENT FOR GUYANA NO TAXES NO RING FENCING NO FULL COVERAGE IN THE CASE OF AN OIL SPILL 2 PERCENT ROYALTY THAT OIL CONTRACT NEEDS TO BE RENEGOTIATE OR WE SHOULD HAVE A REFERENDUM NOW BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF GUYANESE IS LIVING ON LITTLE TO NOTHING FROM PAY CHEQUE TO PAY CHEQUE NO ECONOMICAL RASE IN SALARIES WITH BENEFITS AND GOOD WORKING CONDITION AND ENVIRONMENT WITH A BETTER CONTRACT THOSE ISSUES CAN BE ADDRESS
