I have the same Hoover model but it is not suctioning the dirty water guess it’s time for a new carpet cleaner tried everything but still not suctioning up the dirty water

Always thought the sound of a Windtunnel was always somewhere between a Sanitaire and an Oreck. Very nice sound, unique from most especially on these older ones.

These vacuums cost is otrageous, and and by that I mean you can by a car! I got a Karcher vacuum for fraction of the price, and it utilize the same filter concept, with reasonably priced parts, even though we all know Karcher is just an overpriced brand.

Wait a damn minute, this one peaks at the 172-176hz range which is dual tone p15 level. Although this could just be your audio or its a low pitched p15 or high p10.

The board I had to order for this cost me more than I paid for the vacuum itself. If you get one, I'd recommend used, but the repair costs are going to be a LOT of money.

@@kansasstatealerting2874 I purchased it from Rogersville, MO after winning a sealed bid for it. Got the whole thing for $100. Needed a lot of work since they threw it off the roof of a silo, but it has since been restored and looks great.

My old Silver model was the best they made. None of this "automatic tool conversion" nonsense that causes failures. Love the simplicity and durability of clipping the hose onto the front of the recovery tank, and give it a rest when not in use. As you show in this video, the hose is now permanently connected to the transfer port and rips itself apart every time you move the handle! Compared to mine, the new tool hose is just a flimsy condom with wire inside. My removable channel that connects the floor head to the recovery tank and can be exchanged for the hose coupling also allows you to defeat suction. That way, I can wet scrub the soap in and let it soak while I finish the room, then come back and restore the suction to do two runs of hot clear water. Hoover's way, the soap has about two seconds to dissolve the dirt and then gets sucked away! And laundry detergent works much better than "official" shampoo. And by the way, why did they replace my 12 amp motor with a 7.9 amp motor? Overall, useless gimmicks have displaced reliability.

Is it date stamped somewhere, or do you know what years it was made? Our city had this style and the other same color model with multi-directional horns that remained stationary.

@@paco3343 It was made in 1958. Thunderbolt sirens were made from 1952 - 1990. The other one your city may have had was either a 2T22 or an STH-10, both of which were made for the same time period
