Hi there thanks for the video, in terms of colourful saturation on drums is the 542 better than 1073lb?

@@cs00aap2 I’ve never used the 1073lb, so I can’t say for sure. And “better” is subjective. Just depends on what you want! ✌🏼

This scale 1, 2m, 3m, 4, 5, 6m, 7dim is not the Nashville Number System. All the chords are Major in the NNS. A number by itself will always be played as a basic Major chord. A minor chord must be designated as in 6m or 6-. It is true that the NNS is somewhat related to the numbered bass system, but it is a stand alone system and since it's beginning in the early 1950's to the present, the chords in it's scale are Major. Best to you!

hi! when mixing bass , do you use both, the rnd542 and pultec 500x at the same time ? or its too just much?. and if you had to choose only one for mixing bass, which one would you choose ? thank you very much

One of the best demos I've heard. Very professional because: 1) The sources are great ! 2) Level Matching is kept all the time (between bypassed and not) 3) There is enough time to hear the sound with/without bypass 4) You really turn the knobs all the way, to show it all. A lot of demos don't keep it level matched when bypassing. A lot of demos have bad sources A lot of demos switch to Bypass for only 0.5 a second A lot of demos don't show the whole range of knob values.

In none of these did you use medium amount of saturation (only 100% saturation with medium blend). Is that because medium saturation doesn’t sound so good? Only good at 100% saturation?

I only bought it for use with synthesizers. The 842 doesn't just make the synths "dirty" like tube distortion/overtones. You can even put virtual analog/digital synths through it and get an analog character that you definitely can't get with a $300 VST plugin, even if Pulsar, for example, advertises it. The 842 is unbeatable, it's probably the only one that really gets this "analog warmth".
