I've had this monitor for a month and so far so good. The LED backlight can be turned off. In the monitor settings > Personalize > Lighting > Off Also, install Dell Display Manager for additional options.

Don’t buy a Chromebook, there cheap and slow. Opening a news article consumes all your RAM. 4GB is no where near enough for 2024. 16 GB is considered the new minimum for multi tasking, web surfing, light gaming. If you are a more serious gamer 32GB of RAM is the minimum, since having things like discord, music, twitchTV, KZbin, in the background while your gaming consumes close to 16 or more gigabytes. Bottom line is just buy a used MacBook. Way more RAM and much faster.

800R = 800mm If you were to draw a BIG Circle that was 1600mm in diameter, this display would match that curvature. (the R rating is the Radius of the Circle in millimeters) So, as you can see, the 'smaller' the Radius, the smaller the circle. And the SMALLER the circle the TIGHTER the curve.... So an 800r Monitor will have a more dramatic / tighter CURVE than a 1200r 1800r monitor, etc. For reference, the Samsung 49" G9 is 1800r for instance. Which is a very slight curve relative to what you would see from this display.

Having done a bit of research myself, the only difference is that the regular G pro headset comes with a few extras in the box, such as a carry case, alternative hear cups which are a different material to leather and a “mobile cable” which is essentially the usual cable you would have with the volume button but on a more slimmer compact design. Personally its not worth the extra money as the headset is the same and its said that the other ear cups are something that make the listening comfortable but sound worse. 👍
