Tanner, I so appreciate you taking the time to create and share this review. it was so helpful to me. I can not change the physical space my studio is in as it is a rental, and the bedroom I am using in our townhouse as a studio overlooks a busy road. The low-frequency comments you made were so helpful as motorbikes like Harleys and Trucks etc. are difficult to combat. I particularly like the Studio Bricks booths for their aesthetics and workmanship. So again many thanks.

Many of my episodes I talk into the bottom of my phone. My regular listeners know that I’m in the car and driving. Most of the time the sound is good enough. Not perfect, but good enough.

i live near a a major road. Cars make noise non stop and ruin my recordings. Do you think a Whisper room or studio brick will help ?

Depends on if that road noise is very low frequency and how close you are to it. Low frequency waves are long, and they penetrate walls. Give me more information.

@@tannerhelpsHI, I dont know what you mean by low frequency, but my apartment is on the 5th floor. Theres a parking lot between my building and the road, so there's a good amount of space between. The cars a loud. Recording in my closet helps, but it's not enough to block out the noise completly without me denoising the background after recording. Considering investing in a Whisper Room or this Studio Brick, but don't want to waste a couple grand for it not to work.

Hi Tanner, MidJourney isn't really free or freemium. They offer you 25 free images once and then you will have to subscribe to a plan. I didn't try to bypass this by generating throw away discord accounts, but would imagine making it technically free. Thought it would be worth mentioning it. Otherwise great video and a nice coincidence that I am also interested in your IT-videos as well as the stoicism podcast 😁

What about the Samson Q2U or Q9U? Are those good microphones?

The truth is, Kirk, that there are many good microphones, I limited my suggestions so people wouldn't be overcome with choice anxiety. I've not used the Q9U but I have used the Q2U and it does a good job. I think the AKG is a better build and, ultimately, a far better brand, but there's nothing inherently wrong with the Q2U or the Samson brand. Hope this helps!
