Why did you spend the first few minutes complaining about how others criticized stoicism? Dude just describe what stoicism is and the benefits of it instead

I picked up a Tascam DR-05x from a friend and am wondering how to best use it. What's a good use case? Am I overly wishful to hope a pop filter might make it sufficient to get started?

First off thank you for the content, I first found you on Spotify and shared your podcast with handful of friends. One request, could you put these in a KZbin playlist? It would make it much easier to stream.
@Jiggymaru Жыл бұрын
Hey Tanner, I came from the podcast via Spotify. Love your team’s work and I think the podcast would benefit from a video component here on your channel. Being able to put names to faces would be nice if it’s something that’s feasible for you at this stage. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Does anyone have a recording of someone walking and talking around a closed booth?
@ianfulton2259 Жыл бұрын
Tanner, I so appreciate you taking the time to create and share this review. it was so helpful to me. I can not change the physical space my studio is in as it is a rental, and the bedroom I am using in our townhouse as a studio overlooks a busy road. The low-frequency comments you made were so helpful as motorbikes like Harleys and Trucks etc. are difficult to combat. I particularly like the Studio Bricks booths for their aesthetics and workmanship. So again many thanks.

Many of my episodes I talk into the bottom of my phone. My regular listeners know that I’m in the car and driving. Most of the time the sound is good enough. Not perfect, but good enough.

i live near a a major road. Cars make noise non stop and ruin my recordings. Do you think a Whisper room or studio brick will help ?
@tannerhelps Жыл бұрын
Depends on if that road noise is very low frequency and how close you are to it. Low frequency waves are long, and they penetrate walls. Give me more information.
@emmanuelsanchez4321 Жыл бұрын
@@tannerhelpsHI, I dont know what you mean by low frequency, but my apartment is on the 5th floor. Theres a parking lot between my building and the road, so there's a good amount of space between. The cars a loud. Recording in my closet helps, but it's not enough to block out the noise completly without me denoising the background after recording. Considering investing in a Whisper Room or this Studio Brick, but don't want to waste a couple grand for it not to work.
@tannerhelps Жыл бұрын
@@emmanuelsanchez4321 5th floor, parking lot noise, you should be fine. Just don’t put it near and open window. Low frequency means low sounds… bass… 200hz and lower.

this level of stoicism is hard to find these days; like you pointed - there's much of fake virtue around. I just want to make the best out of my apathy without being anti social (criminal)

Hi Tanner, MidJourney isn't really free or freemium. They offer you 25 free images once and then you will have to subscribe to a plan. I didn't try to bypass this by generating throw away discord accounts, but would imagine making it technically free. Thought it would be worth mentioning it. Otherwise great video and a nice coincidence that I am also interested in your IT-videos as well as the stoicism podcast 😁
@tannerhelps2 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks. I signed up early on and I never exceeded free. I didn't realize I just wasn't using it enough. Thank you for sharing and I've pinned your comment so others can see it.
