I like the use of helebardiers, they do a good job on cav and buildings. Your partner has the canons. I will practice the dutch too when i get home to beat extreme AI. I think you found the right balance with the dutch. They have so much soldiers once they got the economy rolling. Bravo👏

@@cold_steel_gaming_2024 Yes i will do that when my vacation ist finished. I have been in Greece and now i'm in Italy for another 3 days. I was asking about Steam because i bought it there myself and when i play AOE 3 sometimes the Game shuts down. This ist annoiing when i play for one hour and i nearly finish the battle when it does that. I play only against AI so i don't understand why that happens. It's not lagging, my computer ist quiete new. Do you have this problem too? The only Thing i can do ist to save the game from time to time.

I think the mistake was not to let out enough citizens in the beginning for mining. The card 3 more citizens should have being played. Durch needs gold and banks and food+wood to build the banks. Maybe a watchtower and some walls could have helped too. It's tricky i know. The infantery ist very expansive as well. Did you have discord with your partner?

Yes. We are in discord. And, the tricky part is, you need to gather all the resources equally. In other civs, you can ignore 2 and easily sustain age 2.

The Lakota have powerful cav, wich should counter their Abus Gunners easily. Janisarrys shouldn’t be an issue for Axe Riders, the high food prices are manageable with the hunting abilitys of the Lakota, thats what I like to use my home city on in the early game. All in all, the Lakota have a powerful early game with a very specific unit selection. Try to keep your chief in the fight as well, he makes a big difference.

Gendarme is nerfed too much now, avoid using them unless your enemy has very poor anti-cav troops which barely happens; hussar (~40p tank and slow enemy moving) + skim (~30p, anti anti-cav) + grenadiers/young guard (~50p, fast siege military buildings) in treaty-like games the priority: raid eco far from base > siege the military buildings > raid base, cuz wood is the real rare resource and normally your enemies cannot spam buildings

@@cold_steel_gaming_2024 you need to herd them closer to town centre, and make sure your town centre is never idle, vills should be producing always until maxed and as soon as you click to age up divide the vill count. Half on food and half on gold and also build markets and upgrade gather rate

Btw, unlike European and Federal American Forts, the Agra Fort can be upgraded in Age 3 and 4. If you're willing to shell out 150 wood and 150 coin for the intial upgrade which you could be using for anything else.

It is good to practise mirror (same civ) match-up. All knowledge comes from practise. Play a civ to lvl30-40 and you'll be more comfortable with it. Essentially only need to do 2 things: 1) always make villagers and 2) become familiar with your explorer and how to get treasures. At 4:25 you attacked a honey badger with explorer ranged attack and then used Sharpshooter shot ability on it, try to avoid doing that (This is just advice from me, it does not guarantee becoming better)
