This layout is probably the most natural looking Logging layout I have ever come across.... Excellent modeling !!!!

I appreciate this video as it allows me to get a sense of the scale (literally). Most videos of these small scales are closeups and zoomed in, so it's hard to understand what they'd look like in person.

How on earth do you create such incredible detailed scenery?? I love the fact that detailing a layout like this takes a lot of emphasis away from the trains and spreads it more evenly to the whole scene, trains included of course. This is a new genre of artistic expression. Move over Michael Angelo.

I first heard this back in the 90’s when I was working at a same-day pay in billing. The voice stopped my fingers and I just listened. I was a fan of many bands/artists and only tuned to country cuz my newly-wedded was a fan having grown up in Texas around the rodeo circuit. The lyrics kept my fingers still. It is just as powerful now as those 20* years later. I lost my husband of 13 yrs and life is pretty empty now and I thank you, Mr Walker for bringing some wonderful memories back. God bless you..❤️🐈

0/10, trestle bridge in the beginning isn't big enough. needs to be at least triple that height. (all jokes aside this layout is a masterpiece)

Hello, was wondering since you bought the cs105 and the b106 did you just split the layout power into 2 parts and the Psx breakers did you use the standard 2 amp or change them to 3 etc. overall how did you set up your wiring? Thanks Paul
@JeffShultz7 ай бұрын
I'm running a PSX-AR and a PSX out of the CS-105 and two PSXs out of the B-106. I purchased the PSXs quite a few years ago - they might be from the first run. Quite honestly it's probably overkill for the amount of equipment I have, but I don't mind overengineering.

Excellent resource guide for tree scape authenticity. You tube also has several channels on real Douglas Fir forests to evaluate and model. I keep keep coming back to this outstanding layout for supporting my mindset of how mine will have the look. Many thanks.

Jeff, I really enjoy your full length operations videos. I’ve never had the opportunity to operate on a large layout so it’s very interesting to see what really goes on - derails, shorts and stalls.

I am so glad you enjoyed both clubs' displays! As a member of both TBRR and DFWLUG, I can testify that we had a blast. Thanks for swinging by. To answer the question "How long did it take to build it?" Welllll.... collectively? piece by piece? between many members? Several decades! However, set up for any show (including our own tables), we can arrive and be done in anywhere from 4 to 12 hours. Probably the question I hear second-most often, and I thought I heard it asked, is "How many pieces total?" Heh. Take a gander. But there are at least like 17 pieces... Well, I'm fairly certain... Okay, maybe a few over 17 dozen parts... probably...

5:43 That is my module. I originally had the Susquehanna RS1 and Caboose on the display track as the real location the module is inspired by (Maywood, NJ on the Susquehanna) has a Susquehanna S2 and a bay window caboose on display (neither have been produced in N yet and I don't know how to custom paint). I changed it relatively early on to the RSD4 and caboose to represent the club I belong to, New Jersey Southern, who also had a module in the N Trak layout ("The Mariah" at 20:40). I am typing this from the club's channel as I uploaded videos from the show as well, and my channel focuses more on railfanning than model railroading.
