There was no place in the world where I would have thought that elephant ears were called yams. That doesn't even make sense. Those are elephant ears, they are giant lilies, Yes they have tubers, no they are not edible unless you cook them. If you don't cook them and take a bite out of them raw, you are going to have a bad day.
