This is a great video, awesome job to show more than just ten minutes of dives ;) So, I looked up the liveaboard on their website and they have no dates or itineraries, instead you have to make an enquiry. How did you get everything reserved and know where you were going? Did you stay at the LUX or was it just a day visit with the liveaboard? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get info for a future trip :)
@J0shWalker5 жыл бұрын
thanks wally, appreciate the feedback! we booked the whole boat and then liased through them to sort out an itinery that suited our needs, if you were staying on the boat with others more than likely the plan would be discussed with everyone on the first day. We only visited LUX with the liveaboard, something the crew were more than happy to organise.

Great vid lads! We’re planning on heading up there this year and wondering if the waters would be ok to fish in a 3.7m roof topper?
@J0shWalker6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Corletto yeah mate absolutely we caught most of our fish only 1km or so from the ramp at wiligi, obviously depends on the water quality, but within that distance from the coast it’s very productive trolling, tuna, makeral, coral trout and trevally to name a few species :)

You guys are a bunch of fuckwit's. Tearing the Barra's mouths with them lip grips and tormenting that croc just for a video/picture. Wankers
@J0shWalker7 жыл бұрын
Kyle Jenkins lip grips actually enable the barramundi to be handled properly, whilst also reducing risk of injury to the angler. Call it what you like, but until you have fully researched the topic,I would refrain from your public comments because it makes you look foolish. As far as the crocodile is concerned, the treble was successfully removed from the front arm and it swam away strongly.

thank you ! a great video and I dont want to sound over fussy, but what was the point in putting the croc in the boat?, I was wondering perhaps falsely that it will not cherish that memory of people?, and I may be wrong but reckon they have an uncanny powerful memory and this one could get a lot bigger and with a grudge?, perhaps I am just wimping out but I had one big enough one hanging around our boat one night and given there was endless food in the water I wondered if he had a score to settle LOL (I was not laughing then though) for example go around any remote mining town where dickheads have been peppering them with lead shot, though admittedly that memory seems a whole lot worst for them I imagine? a percentage get killed and undoubtedly suffer terrible wounds though often the lead does not penetrate the hide on the back of some big ones I am told All the sAME Great videos folks the barra and is it salmon just fantastic thanks and the lasso work really skilled and professional for something that scars the daylights out of me, thanks

Horatio Mud-Gudgeon crocodiles have medium size brains but none of it is used for deep thought like us when a crocodile looks at another animal it is asessing how it will go about killing and eating it they have a pretty good memory but I doubt a croc will go out for vengeance or hold a grudge this would probably make the croc fear people rather then kill them
@J0shWalker7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback guys! Crocodile are extremely fascinating creatures. Prehistoric brains tell us that they Do not have long term memory or analytical thinking skills, they are one of the few creatures that will eat their own with no remorse! Amazing animals. The reason this little guy was brought aboard is because there was a lure in his front leg. We successfully removed it and the croc swam away strongly. Thank you for your support though :) it is great that you actually care to ask, and not be small minded :)
@PositiveFishing6 жыл бұрын
I'm glad others commented first cause I just wanted to know where you go your research of croc memory from? Anyway, I always say "Crocs are 1 of the 2 animals on earth that will actively HUNT man for food, and that is unprovoked, they do it from instinct anyway. Everyone up here knows what they are capable of especially Kurt!!! He IS the crocodile MAN!!!
