This helps a lot. I was wondering if my stories on war fit Gothic horror & I feel like they aren't fully gothic literature but they definitely have a lot of scenes that are gothic.

I must’ve gone off the book cover graphic that I used which has ‘Otronto’ in the title. 🤦🏻♂️ Thanks for pointing that out! 👍🏻

what's the difference between Gothic and horror?
@EnglishWithWatson5 ай бұрын
Good question! Gothic is a subgenre of horror characterised by dark, atmospheric settings, supernatural themes and often a historical or Victorian aesthetic. Horror, in contrast, is a broader genre focused on evoking fear through various means, not limited to specific settings or time periods. While all Gothic works contain horror elements, not all horror is Gothic.

Hi sir, with the modal paragraph, how many marks would that be, is that just half the answer? Or is it detailed enough in a small amount of space that it is 20 marks.

Isn’t the inspector a ghoul, and not real? He literally predicted the future.
@EnglishWithWatson7 ай бұрын
It’s left ambiguous who, or what, the Inspector was. Some people interpret his name “Goole” as relating to ‘ghoul’, as you said, and so infer he was a kind of supernatural being. Other people argue he is a physical manifestation of the Birlings’ guilt. There are many different theories but no definitive answer, which was intentional from Priestley.
