I'd add RollerLine to your list: their videos go straight to the point when teaching something and KZbin will translate the Russian subtitles to English.

For winter i would suggest Spain - Andalusia (Caleta de Velez, Cadiz, Chioiona, Barbate anf for sure Almeria and Barcelona) all very nice winter skate spots.

If you're on a budget, FR X for normal feet, very good for high instep... For wide feet PS Storm or Zoom... One thing I strongly recommend, to match frame lenght with foot lenght, the closer it is the more natural it feels to skate... Imho 4x80 is too short for average male feet (was intended for slalom originally 😅) From 42 and up I'd go for 90's... PS Next 90, FR1 90, Tempish Viber 90 or RB Lightning 90 for flat... Rockered 90 options are, Next Charcoal 90, Iqon CL15, FR UFR 90, Flying Eagle X5d or X7d 😊

If it’s wide enough, about a car lane, I use the downhiller’s method of carving with parallel slide. It’s incredible how much speed this can scrub off in a short amount of slide. Soul slide is useful even on narrow sidewalks.

My advice: don't stick to a special brand or model. Try to find a skate that fits your feet perfectly. Should be very tight, still comfortable. Must try them on, unfortunately. The skate you have found online might be one that does not exist in your size (as non-carbon hardboot skates come in double sizes). At 1st, I tried on 3 models from PS. Then I bought a Seba E3. Still using it. My favourite: Iqon CL15. Completely different sizing than other skates from PS, fit is perfect for me. (By the way, its quality is awesome.) How did I know in advance? 1. Looked at the sizing chart 2. My feet are just a tad bit bigger than those of R. Lino (Well yes, I know the foot size of some youtubers by heart to the mm... Might that be weird? 😂)

@@peterpandur8691 I agree, that need to try it yourself and not buy someones suggestion, is a good idea. Every foot is different unfortunally.

I am loving my Oxelo MF500's. Hard shell & fully upgradable 4x80 setup. I've picked up a few frames from aliexpress for bigger wheels with no complaints. Planning on some decent 3x110 wheels next payday. Any recommendations for good quality good value wheel brands?

Howdy, I've been trying to do the Soul Slide for the past 2 (going on 3 now) weeks. I've used other tutorials to try and learn, but this is the one that I think got me the closest to actually performing one. The problem I keep running into is that when my sliding foot slides it feels like only the back 2 wheels are the only ones sliding, and the first 2 wheels still have grip despite the angle. So what ends up happening is that my foot slides, but I since I still have grip from the front in the front of the sliding boot I can't continue pushing into the slide and I either trip over myself or my kicked-out heel comes back in and the slide stops. Spare any tips sir?
@rullikutt
@rullikutt Ай бұрын
@@ENDIEKID Hey, You can try to push Your knees together when sliding. The sliding leg (knee) infront. Strongly hold them together and You should either stop when the front wheels don't slide or slide. You won't trip atleast :) The other way is to push Your leg more to the side and not infront. Hope You get the slide down soon ;)

Bike vs Skates: bike is faster and safer, easier to get over any road surface, but needs to be tied to something and left behind and simply isnt as fun as skates, skates are just a constant fun thats the main thing

I think the falling techniques are good if you know you are going to fall. Sometimes your fall happens so fast that it doesn't give you enough of response time to react.
