ngl i wished the dual 50. cals were a medium weapon, the pike would be a light weapon and the matter would be a heavy weapon, though there would be an oversaturation of heavy shotguns

I believe that the dematerialiser was nerfed instead of buffed. The main people used it was to quickly peak from a corner inside a room there are enemies in or quickly running away. This bigger aoe makes it hard to close the same amount of wall chunks which I believe would make you even more inconsistent. The demat needed a detection system that can detect other walls and environmental extras on the other side of one wall for easier and consistent use, not a larger aoe

Note: the mesh shield nerf in the preview patch was NOT the final mesh shield nerf that will be implemented in season 4. the devs have said they want it to be like cloak where it's on a meter but it's unclear if that will be put in for the 4.0 patch.

I’m a heavy main since day one of this game and to be honest I hope eventually they just remove mesh shield and give it back as another deployable gadget (similar to dome but a wall instead) for heavy and give a different specialization. I think it would be healthier and make the game more about teamwork/ strategy/ positioning. Unlike how it’s currently infinite tanking of damage/ healer combo.

The patch notes will be out sometime soon, so if anything changes or gets added and I didn’t cover it (and I think it’s worth mentioning) I will update this comment! I expect most of what I mentioned in this video to be accurate but there could be a few additions I might’ve missed. - Forgot to add that tracking dart had a duration nerf to compensate for the increased mag size, but 4 charges seems really good still - CL40 also had a damage buff, but the gun is still too easily countered for me to consider it “meta”. Definitely a better pick than it was before though! - SR-84 isn’t hitscan anymore after 40m. This weapon wasn’t ever meta, and now definitely won’t be with this change and with the new medium DMR unless it gets a damage buff to compensate. Prepare for the powershift snipers to be replaced by LH1 or Pike - As of the patch notes, XP54 got a damage nerf. I expect to still see the gun being used, but it might not be as much of a necessary pick as it was. I’ll do more testing when I get back this weekend. - at 5:02 it says “larger AOE” on landmines. This is a mistake, landmines do not have a larger AOE, but had the charges reduced down to 1. - 93R for a buff YAAAAAAAA but it won’t be enough to make the gun good still - it seems like heal beam nerf got toned down a bit in the final build. Unsure what my thoughts are on this, I will do more testing this weekend as soon as I can - there were other changes to weapons and gadgets but none of them were enough to be considered “meta changing” besides those mentioned

The nastiest heavy I’ve ever faced used motion sensor and sledge. His strategy was to be near cashout or vault, place motion sensor, hide behind walls, and once the motion sensor activates, you can safely go into right click before the enemy has line of sight on you

The thermal is good, you're using it incorrectly. It's for an ambush/defensive playstyle, not for running around all over the place. It's purpose is to give you a massive advantage when fighting in/through smoke which is why you need to be territorial because smoke clouds cover a relatively small portion of a map. Having the thermal just for the sake of highlighting enemies is a waste of a gadget slot.
