It’s a long time after review but I have a question. I’ve had other synthetic jackets with loose blown insulation and I found them virtually impossible to wash as the insulation clumps together (even following drying recommendations of low heat in tumble dryer with tennis balls). Have you had success washing the Vaskye jackets?

I’ve had this exact experience with a similar coat with loose blown synthetic insulation - it all clumped and was fit for bin

@@MrAshrambo si cogí la lxl y va bien, es muy cómodo la verdad, pero apenas uso la mentonera ya que llevarla es un engorro y de 420 grs. pasa a750 grs., efectivamente talla pequeño, en 57 cm otras marcas sería talla M o M-L

These are my favorite shoes. I got my second set this week. This one is more like a regular shoe with the uneek style. I wish you guys had a closed heel without the tight sock design. I have now gotten 11 pairs of keens over the years.

I think these are OK for weather where snow or hail is falling rather than rain. I'm very disappointed in the weather resistance of mine. The material seems good but all the seams around the knee/thigh pocket area let rain in really quickly and there seems no way of sealing up the seams to prevent this. a seam sealing tape applied during manufacture would have helped tremendously. This one failing means I don't really wear them much as there's not much point in a trouser that can't handle a sustained shower in the UK! I've reconciled myself to the fact that I wasted a lot of money on these. Other Fjallraven trousers I have are much easier to weather-proof. The Keb Touring are massively heavy too, which is another downside if you're going to add a waterproof over-trouser.

Carbon fietsen en onderdelen, waar sommigen van jullie op rijden zijn absoluut niet duurzaam. Dit materiaal kan niet gerecycled worden en belandt uiteindelijk ergens illegaal gedumpt in Azie, Afrika of in de oceaan. Het beste wat ze er mee kunnen doen is fijn malen tot stofdeeltjes, maar dat wordt praktisch nooit gedaan en zelfs dat zal net zoals plastic nooit verteren. Aluminium, stalen en titanium fietsen en onderdelen zijn daarentegen 100% recyclebaar en worden over het algemeen ook echt gerecycled nadat ze kapot zijn gegaan (wat altijd gebeurt: het is slechts een kwestie van tijd voordat elk onderdeel op je fiets vermoeid/versleten raakt en kapot gaat). Wil je duurzaam fietsen, blijf dan weg van carbon.

Een Tesla zou ik trouwens ook niet milieuvriendelijk noemen. De CO2-uitstoot over het leven van de auto is inderdaad een stuk lager dan op benzineauto's, maar een overschot aan CO2 kunnen we theoretisch gezien in de toekomst nog wegwerken door streng toezicht op bosbehoud en alles terugplanten wat we hebben gekapt. De natuur zet de CO2 dan weer om in O2 (zuurstof). De accu's van de Tesla daarentegen zijn niet recyclebaar en zitten vol zware metalen en giftige stoffen. Nadat de auto is opgereden zullen alle accu's van elektrische auto's voor altijd als giftig vuil op onze aarde blijven rondhanden. Daarnaast schijnen Tesla's veel problemen te hebben en een soort iPads te zijn die je nauwelijks uit elkaar kan halen, waardoor regelmatig grote delen van de auto vervangen moeten worden (=niet duurzaam). Ook investeer je bij aanschaf van een Tesla in onder andere de zeer vervuilende Marsreizen van Elon Musk en steun je de fabrieken waar mensen in onveilige omstandigheden moeten werken. Het is niet voor niets dat de groene ASN Bank Tesla heeft afgekeurd voor beleggingen (www.asnbank.nl/zo-maakt-geld-gelukkig/beleggen-in-tesla-waarom-wij-zijn-uitgestapt.html), terwijl ze Toyota juist wel hebben goedgekeurd voor groen beleggen (www.asnbank.nl/over-asn-bank/duurzaamheid/goedgekeurd-voor-belegging.html).

As we grow more wise as a society, it becomes increasingly apparent that our ancestors were less abusive to the environment in many ways, yet in some other ways more destructive. We cannot blame the past generations for our own failures. And we shouldn't dwell on the failures of the past. I believe that we can turn this around one breath at a time. Long winded politicians are useless. But a group of people with the magical powers of common sense can bring forth change for the earth and each of its inhabitants. Excellent video.
