Morning David, I was trying to figure out where the first section would come out. Was surprised when I knew where it was 😂. You had me giggling by the church 😅. Although I am not medically gluten intolerant, I know how gluten affects me…..not good, so decided to go gluten free. There are more and more gluten free products being produced, but they are so expensive. We find the bread is better when lightly toasted, but Warburton’s pitta breads are better than anything, and make a perfectly good sandwich. There thin squares are ok too, but pitta’s are better. Anyway, all the best to you both for 2025.

When I was younger, fitter and slightly more stupid I used to cycle up to the Jubilee Tower and then freewheel all the way back down. It's still the fastest I've ever been on a pushbike. I'll have to subscribe now.

On a motorcycle, the wind noise would be horrendous, so you would have to turn the recording audio off. For motovlogging, where you want to talk whilst recording, you would therefore need a separate audio recording device, as there is no way to plug in or link an external microphone. This adds another process during editing, in what is already a very time consuming hobby, as you would have to sync the audio with the video footage. Ok if you just leave both running, but if you stop and start again, it becomes a pain. The insta 360 go 3, would be ok as a handlebar cam, facing the rider, or for other different perspectives, but not as a helmet cam, unless you want to be one of those lame vloggers who overlays music.

I would also be interested to know what the audio sounds like at higher road speeds, with the visor closed ? Incidentally, I was using “voice command” on my OA3, but was finding that I sometimes had corrupted files, whereby there was either no sound, or no recording at all. Since stopping doing that, I have never had an issue. I have stuck a self adhesive button on the record button, to make it easier to get to with my gloves on. As I have loads to spare, if you like, I will drop some off with Dorothy sometime. Cheers
@Adventureswithdids8 ай бұрын
Hi Ian Thank you for your comments .On future outings i will experiment with recording levels and in different scenarios. I might find that keeping the camera recording and taking a spare battery might prove to be the easier option .I will certainly include the findings within the videos. Yes i would appreciate one or two of the adhesive buttons .Thank you.Kind regards.Davidf
@ianhughesroyalenfield8 ай бұрын
@@AdventureswithdidsI just leave mine recording, occasionally checking the battery in the mirror, to make sure it hasn’t switched off. On my OA3, even with the front screen on all the time (recording at 1440p 30fps), I am getting about 50-55mins out of a fully charged battery, but usually carry at least one spare. We are going shopping today, so will drop some adhesive buttons off 👌

Morning David. Really good, informative video, well done. This is the way I am considering going, though I will retain the two camera set up,easier for me to have a “me facing” camera on all the time, rather than stopping and swapping them out. Then just choose the clips to use in editing. The only thing which has prevented me from using this OA4/mic 2 set up, is that others who have done similar, have found the audio to be a bit sterile, but maybe they didn’t play with the settings enough. I look forward to seeing how you get on with it. Maybe put the audio recording settings you are trying, in the description of the video. Cheers

This bike is a very good alternative to a dual sport. Im looking at buying my first bike for day/camping trips and the only bike that fits the bill is the crf300L. A lot of owners are underwhelmed by the engine and suspension and end up throwing so much money at it with mods. I feel like the beta would be a great alternative with its acceptable service intervals. It sounds like you're very happy with your choice
@Adventureswithdids9 ай бұрын
Hi Josh Yes,very happy. Both the CRF300L and the Beta 390RR have their advantages .If you explore more on the road then the CRF might be the better choice but the Beta is far more capable off road with it's lighter weight and improved suspension .
@JoshSinnott979 ай бұрын
Thank you. I'm starting to think that dual sports are a bit of a gimmick unless you're doing really big miles as when you get off road you end up making compromises with weight and suspension Regular oil changes don't bother me but it's the valve checks that are making me reluctant. Are you checking them every 30 hours?
@Adventureswithdids9 ай бұрын
Have only done 6hrs on the bike . Not sure how often your supposed to check the valve clearances. In my opinion as with most things, if it aint broke, don’t fix it,
@JoshSinnott979 ай бұрын
Oh ok, I was under the impression that they need to be checked as often as the oil changes and is really the only thing holding me back as I'd prefer to be on top of maintenance than be up for a new engine. Hopefully for adventure riding you can push the maintenance even further
@Adventureswithdids8 ай бұрын
Hi Josh There are always compromises to be made.It all depends how much riding your doing on the tarmac and offroad. the beta for me is certainly more fun on the road with its more power and torque. i just need to put some Pirelli MT43s on so i can take part in the Long Distance Trials and it will make the bike slightly more comfortable on the road with also better handling.
