Honestly all mage specs are eating good in dungeons at the moment. Haven’t tried anything higher than a 12 right now so not sure about top top keys but this level they are all viable

Nice run, Surprised you didnt get insta'd by the obsidian beam on first boss, greedy greedy. 3 deaths good though. Blink looks so handy for some of these mechs haha.

Honestly me too! I was so happy with how we’d just dropped the circles and I was admiring that forgot all about the beam haha. Thankfully the preservation evoker had me covered haha. I’ve been thinking I should swap shimmer for blink in this place but forget to do it at the start of the dungeon

There’s two casts by two different mobs, fire bomb from the one in the front and bolt from the one at the back.

Typically yes the wowhead mythic + build is my base, Then I change some things around if I feel I need it. (e.g if i need something for an affix or mob control ect)

Yea theres a few different oens in here. 1. KZbin "S4 Quazii plater profile" follow his install video, its fantastic, gives you the colored bars and also some of the audio queues 2. littlewigs/bigwigs addon called BigWigs_Voice which calls out the abilities the enemies are casting

Thanks so much for the sub! And not sure at the moment. A few of the changes on the alpha I’ve not been happy with and I’ve actually had a blast playing arcane mage. Though I have not been able to bring the same numbers I do on the devastation evoker and I have a mythic raid team spot I need to consider. But it will either be mage or devastation evoker

What WeakAura/Addon do you use for that arrow on target?

Its a weak auara and a setting in Plater that you can change. Its called Ethric's Arrow Target indicators then follow the instructions on his weak aura page to get it in game

Brand new to evoker, been watching your videos a ton to try and learn. Can you explain the mindset on when to charge the fire breath fully vs releasing it on rank 1?

In big packs (3+) its worth to get the full cast off, as with pyre you'll get it back off cooldown so quickly you don't wanna overlap the dot and waste the damage. only exception to that in big packs is when you're in dragon rage, if getting the full empower off is going to stop you from extending your DR again, just send it at whatever level you can. In ST (or less that three) its basically just guessing how long you think the mob is going to live for. If you think the entire dots damage will go off, then its fine to send it at rank one, if you think its going to die faster, its probably worth sending the damage up front with a full empower.

I envy you! I cannot play healer haha I find it far too stressful! Deep breath is only relevant (dps wise) as a filler spell if both your empowers are on cd and dragon rage is not going. I definitely should be using it more than I do. I believe in the later keys (when 13’s start showing up) you’ll see it used more! Good question !

Wait evokers have another dps spec??? Lol jk, great job giving the forgotten spec a voice. Its sad when you dont didnt see any devastation video till season 4. Alot of people dont care that devastation is stronger then them when they can bring an aug to make them stronger and feel better about themselves. Aug real power comes from their defensive capabilities making everyone tankier and healers heal harder. I dont see why people want more support specs when all its going to do is turn other specs into what happened to devastation. Anyway great job keeping the spec alive

It definitely got overshadowed in season three by the Aug, but calmed down by the end and in season 4 we’re eating good!

@MythicTopp pretty sure season 2 and 3 aug overshadowed them, devastation was all the hype in season 1 then aug hit in season 2 and then it was...whats a devastation evoker? But honestly if they made aug a dps supporter and just got rid of the defensive capabilities for tanks and healing power for healers it would balance them out because it's with that power it allows groups to survive those super high keys. By buffing survivability for the whole group allows the dps to focus on maximizing there dps, like before when we had to sacrifice our best secondary stats for verse just to survive the damage of high keys

combination of Premade Group Finder and Raider.IO addons is what I use! plus the weak aura to show where people are from. Hope this helps!

If you search empower spells in the options I believe it shows you an option you can toggle! I find I have more control over it when I have push once to start and push again to cast. But each person will have their own preference :)
