This video was so educative now I don't have to fear GE pet CT 16 slice any more

Needlessly complicated. Siemens is so much easier and quicker

I can't stand GE scanners. The post processing is really where the nightmare is at. And built in scanner delays for contrast injections are dumb. What if the person tries to jump out of the gantry?? Your first response will be to run into the room to help them before they hit the floor, then the scanner will start scanning automatically while you're in there trying to keep the patient from hitting the floor. If you can't time CT scans on your own, then you shouldn't be doing CT IMO.

I remember doing these on a toshiba 64 slice scanner and we used 150 houndsfield units to trigger off the pulmonary trunk using the roi. Thanks for the video. Very informative and refreshing.

Thank you very much for sharing! Does the dual syrringe kit for Stellant CT dual injector comes with 1 short spike and 1 long spike or 2 short spikes?
@RADKhammany18 күн бұрын
The dual should come with two. One spike for each syringe. The spikes are the same size. At least for the ones Ive used. I'm not sure if they are considered small or long... They are identical.

So to add a delay for trauma, would you press repeat series?
@RADKhammany19 күн бұрын
Yes, that way will work as long as you keep track of your timing. Another way would add it onto the scan plan when you first set up.

Please how to do more scout images , or scan in cases of biopsy or epidural injections
@mohsenhassanpour4140Ай бұрын
Hi isn't it safer to just track your SVC then start next scan?cause you know some systems already have 2-3 sec delay so the contrast might exit pulmonary by the time we scan (if our ROI is already on the pulmonary trunk)

Thanks for your thoughts and information, I appreciate it. I just got my 10-year CQR notice from ARRT, so I'm looking over my old books and notes also. Like you, I also primarily work in CT, and it's my understanding that we have to do a 10 year CQR for EVERY modality we are licensed in. So I assume I'll receive my CQR notice for CT in a few years (I've been in CT for 4 years).

Ma'am, if we try to reconstruct any data the we acquired during examination are we have any limit in start and end location?
@maiser-khanabsari2022 ай бұрын
Last time I scanned the head and chest together and I planned that after scanning the head and chest I will just reconstruct them in order for me to separate these two structures but I was shocked because I couldn't reconstruct them.
@RADKhammany2 ай бұрын
You'd have to go to the raw data and separate them using your FOV. Its similar if you want to pull a T spine from a chest scan. You have to go change your field of view and your algorithm to match the area of interest
@RADKhammany2 ай бұрын
There shouldn't be ... If not all the anatomy is on there change your FOV
