It's such a huge price range. Mine cost a little under $300 but I have heard of pricess well over $1000. Then if you pay someone ro retie every 4-8 weeks, that can range from $100-300.

Girl, you're making me fall in love with the jet black😫! I've been trying to stick with the natural henna (not the one that you have to mix with indigo to get a black dye), it turns greys red and my natural dark brown, a richer dark brown with a hint of burgundy in the sunlight. The main problem now is that I'm just lazy. With henna, you have to let it sit for at least 4 hours to process. I don't feel like doing that anymore AND I *think* that I want to go darker. BTW that pony tail is everything!!!
@aishastack
@aishastack 2 ай бұрын
I did consider henna once upon a time but this $3 Brown Blacl hair dye is fabulous. I have been doing this since my teens and have never had an issue with it. Plus it's only 20 minutes processing lol!

Yes girl! I'm with you! I had no idea our locs are the same age! Yay! And yes your ponytail is err thang! I'll be 5 years loc'd on Memorial Day♥. I'm trying to record some snippets. Yes, my scalp can be a little tender, and I think it comes from us not having to touch/comb/pull/brush our scalp every single day, to where we can become a lil tenderheaded lol.🤣 I have a 13 yr old, with microlocs that I only have to re-tie every 10 weeks (mine every 8 weeks), and yes my time has been restored! I freakin love it. I find myself looking for stuff to do and places to go, because our hair maintenance is so minimal. The lint is a booger, but it's all good, I do what I can to alleviate it. I don't detox either and I'm with you, if my locs go, twa here I come.😁 Thanks for the vid, you and your locs are gorgeous!

I have relaxed hair and started with braid locs. i couldn't find anyone and still no one near me to loc my hair :/ . I wanted to loc my hair to get rid of the relaxer to get regular 2 strand twist locs. Are braid locs not good for relaxed hair because of its texture? also can you explain how the interlocking work on relaxed hair? im new to this loc journey/process
@aishastack
@aishastack 4 ай бұрын
Hi there. Braid locs can be hard to keep braided with relaxes hair especially the ends. How are you locs doing so far? Any loose ends? Also interlocking is like weaving the hair. It just creates ans even more solid foundation than twist and sometimes braids. The biggest hurdle is making sure that nothing unravels. You want those locs to mature.
