nice video, do you also have the 'problem'' when it rains it looks that the tent becomes a little bit bigger? i mean the fabric seems to become a little bit larger when its wet. So when it rains i always have to go outside to re-tension the tent.
@JustinWhiting9Ай бұрын
Thanks. Yes, it’s the silnylon fabric which absorbs moisture and slackens when wet. I’ve noticed though, when it dries and gets a bit of sun it tightens itself up 👍

Condensation happens because of a temperature difference between inside the tent, and outside the tent. That temperature difference is caused by the person camping in the tent. So setting up a tent in the rain without anybody camping inside it doesn't mean anything with regard of condensation.
@JustinWhiting94 ай бұрын
In this tent I think body heat might be a small contributing factor. Humidity from breath and lack of ventilation are greater causes of condensation in the L2pro. Thanks for your comment 👍

@@JustinWhiting9 I was in Wick a few weeks ago - it's such a sad affair, this little town. But I did stay there on my walk after an unplanned 45 km day 🙄 Yes, the weather was brilliant the last two weeks. We first spent a week in North Yorkshire, close to Darlington, now a week in Castleton. It's the second time we are here - we have a great place where we can stay with the dog and there so many walks around here. Unfortunately, my wife is scared of heights which somewhat limits the selection 😂 Yesterday I asked for permission to do a solo hike - left here at 4.30 in the morning to do a 20 mile loop over Kinder Scout. It was wonderful to be up there all by myself. The first person I met at about 7.30... Anyway, I am babbling 🙃

On my day 4 video of the EHW I give a summary of my thoughts on the trail. Wild camping is possible, but there are fewer suitable spots than you think. EHW is remote, almost no other hikers. GGW is more sociable with more hikers, canoeists and people boating in the canal. I was lucky and almost no midges, so I don’t know. EHW is higher up so windier, maybe fewer midges.
