I can't find it in the video now, but did anyone else notice a location in type-0 that looks a LOT like the gray, circular town center with the lampposts in scala(?)? 2:17 here also resembles memeory's skyscraper to me. your emphasis on the daybreak clock tower's gear motif in the google doc makes me remember void gear too...nowhere else in kh (iirc) has a gear motif like it, and then suddenly vanitas shows up with a keyblade themed around it. I know his connection to the union x darkness is all but stated in game, but to me that's another visual confirmation. thanks for this also also: which type-0 character near the end there has heterochromia like yozora??

Extremely interesting with the clues and symbols to support this. I have a strong feeling that's the reason why Nomura has not revealed who Demyx's somebody is? I believe Luxord's somebody is yet to be revealed either.

Whether it is or isn't demyx I've learned not to trust the appearance of characters and their behaviors. We know the origins of xigbar (luxu), larxene(erlena), marluxia (lauriam) came from the battle of light timeline. Then saix (isa), axel (Lea), vexen (even), aeleus, and ienzo come from bbs timeline. There was future xehanort, young, and old man. So out of the original 13 we don't know the origin of demyx and the gambler. So it could be possible that one of them is MoM...wait what if both of them combined is Mom. The gambler likes to take chances and he's got the build and demyx has the aloofness and joking personality. We've seen hearts get split into two halves before like with ventus so it's not impossible. And isn't it odd that we didn't see the MoM resurface AFTER the 13 were defeated thus allowing demyx and his other half to combine back into one.

Ive never really vibed 100% with the Demyx = MoM theory, partly bc of how it would change his character like you said but mostly because Xigbar was such an incredible twist that it feels like a really hard act to follow, and I don't think revealing that Anyone "was MoM all along" could possibly hit the same. but I can't deny there's plenty of evidence to support it, even before having watched your vids. that's why I like theories like this though, that posit the potential "twist" as less of a "twist" and more of a development for the character themselves. There's another theory I've seen around that Demyx is "the first Replica", a clone MoM made of himself that doesn't have his memories but does contain his personality as well as his Other eye (he doesn't need eyes to see. Riku got around blindfolded and managed just fine :P). Being the first "replica" makes him the first "created" human, and so his true name is Edym, similar to Adam. (This also gives us Edym and Ava lol) It's another theory that allows Demyx to be connected to MoM while still being his own person. I much prefer the idea that Demyx doesn't know his own true identity anymore than we do, and while it'll make him much more important to the plot it won't result in a drastic shift in his personality. the parallel you drew between Charlie and Roxas has one missing details: Roxas's story doesn't end there. He doesn't just go away forever, but gets to live as his own person now, separate from his original self. If Roxas can do it, Demyx can too. :)

You are so wise and underrared pal. I have listened the entire videto know the possible scenario between Demyx and the MoM. Demyx is the best and the foolish guy in the organization, my favorite enemy, and the best twister in KH3. I always thought a year ago that he could be the possible concealing Master of Masters. Similar attitudes, similar behaviors, appearance unknown. The representation of Charlie is so spotted on that was identical to the life of Roxas, as this depicts Demyx's unknown origin. I am surprised that I got recommended about this, I have been away from Kingdom Herts for 2 years, have not played Re:Mind until now. For I have already seen Vexen atone himself because of the hints he left on Castle Oblivion, he seems to dislike the interpretation, decides the fate to tell off Sora something about the Organization XIII. Man I love this video, I love to know anything about the hidden face of the MoM. If there were even more theories you have researched. I care most of the effort you got. 💜

I feel like something far more important that fans somehow don't realize is that Final Fantasy is literally Star Wars. If you want to understand Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy better you have to study Star Wars. Think about it for a second before actually looking into it. Blonde haired country boy with a lost past. I not only described most Final Fantasy main characters but that's just Luke Skywalker. I appreciate the comparisons to a lesser known Final Fantasy but I feel like it's pretty minor with how much Star Wars is even more ingrained into Kingdom Hearts. Xemnas having a Dual Lightsaber can actually be traced to the release of Phantom Menace with Darth Maul appearance. Which is a Movie referenced in Final Fantasy Type-0. You were this close figuring out how every Square Enix game is similar and the true through line 🤏 Once you inspect every Final Fantasy story you will never see them as Not-Star Wars. Kimari from FFX? Chewbacca. Vivi from FF9? C3PO. Cloud from FF7? Luke Skywalker (especially after Rebirth) Jack from Type-O? An offshoot of Han Solo. Vincent from FF7? Darth Vader realizes what a monster he's become. Almost every single Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts female is a Princess with Special unknown Powers because they're copying Leia. It's much more important to understand the Star Wars was literally the start of Final Fantasy as a whole and how it forever is ingrained into it's DNA. Light vs Dark? Open ending symbolic storytelling that be seen as religious? All Star Wars

Something I thought of both before but then in more detail while watching this video: the MoM at one point says that what is important about the Book of Prophecies is *when* it was written. What if the missing piece of how the MoM became degenerated into Demyx is that he didn't, that he's Demyx's future. It's important when the book was written, because it must have been after the end of the BoP's final words. MoM appears on the scene pre-X and back cover with the Book in hand. Could this be because he is from the time period when the BoP was written, as a post-KH3 Demyx who then ends up back in time?

I had a similar idea about Lann from world of final fantasy. It is revealed that there is multiverse. And sometimes people sacrifice themselves and die are transported to another world wnd can become god. The girl with no name does this. Like sora with power of awakening. Lann in end of Woff. Picks up a black cloak, loses his arm and eye and travels through the darkness or multiverse. Lann also has summoned sora, cloud and sephrioth.

It Made A Lot More Sense To Me For Dark Riku To Be With Those 2 Because Of Their CoM Connection, But If Theyre Planning For The Future This Could Make Sense. Well, Demyx could have spawned in Atlantica and made some deal with Ursula to time travel. I mean, there was a Disney comic where Aladdin went back in time thanks to Genie's magic and met his mom. They are beings that practice or are magic. So, we don't know the extent of Ursula's magic, but she could have made a deal with Demyx's Somebody to travel in time after finding himself in Ursula's cave. But, Ursula being Ursula, well she double-crossed Demyx's Somebody in some way. That consequence could have been Demyx being stripped of all of his memories, except just remembering he played an instrument. Atlantica has a big influence with music, heck that was a crucial plot in the Little Mermaid 3; King Trident losing his wife and him banning music in his kingdom. Unbeknownst to him, Sebastian ran a club catering on music.
