Great presentation, Francesco! Is it possible to share some of your publications on this topic? I’m particularly interested in the implications of the SEEA in the forest ecosystem context.

This is just another scheme to steal our land and our money and control all human activity. Humans are not the enemy our governments are the real enemy and people are so brainwashed they don't even realize they are being deceived.

This is one of the most corrupt schemes ever invented. Monetizing nature so the Elites can maintain power.

So this is basically a way for the richest people in the world to set up corporations and get investor money on nature?
@karenbracken172110 ай бұрын
Yep. Another rip off scheme for those of us that go to work each day trying to feed our family and pay the bills. All this climate change crap is just that crap. They created climate change because they needed a global boogieman to hide their agenda of control and greed.

I love Irish Cinema. Some of the best films come out of Ireland. 1., Young Offenders, a movie every kid can relate to. 2., Waking Ned Devine...excellent black humor. Economy, ethics, and ecology. Well this means products not going to be sold in Ireland are the products that damage the environment. It would unethical and hypocritical if the rule does not apply to all products. A bio-economy or a money economy, we cannot mix both. This was a very good speech on the state of our world. Actually, and I have heard many world leaders speak, this address by this prime minister, M.Higgins, is the most intellectual and practical and honestly objective address given thus far, by any world leader on the economy, ethics and ecology.

The amazing thing about this video is that even though I live in a large Irish town I have witnessed most of these sights without having actually set out to do so. All it takes is minimal travel, an unhurried mind and an observant eye. This magic and beauty is all around us if only we'd spend more time letting it into our lives. Nice to see complex matter of NCA, with SEEA and linked NA to be explained in a very clear video with easy to understand text supported with several nice illustrations!
@willriley69252 жыл бұрын
I just saw this video randomly and you referenced a few things that indicate you might understand this. I'm curious how this is anything other than a way for the richest people in the world to monetize nature...?

And I'm genuinely curious. I'm not trying to be negatively critical.

@@willriley6925 Well thanks for asking. Actually, normally SEEA - type of accounting this is done by public institutions often by countries' statistical offices, national EPA, and sometimes Central Bank. As it compiles accounts at macro-level, at the country level, although with lots of detail, even at meso (sector) and use of data sources at micro-level. These are not compiled by private companies or banks or whatever. In order to inform general public and governments (decision-making), Like is doen via their National Accounts (just monetarily). The UN - SEEA or NCA framework so much richer as it also looks at physical aspects of the Earths resources (natural assets) and flows been used by human beings and return flows (waste, and emissions) back to the environment. To ma that is a valuable approach to better decision making, on other aspects of planets' and human wellbeing. Say way beyond GDP, and more considering the broad range of planet and human health being as illustrated and advocated by the SDGs.
