We definitely don't want that tractor. The 806 gas was designed with the pistons riding the block. They have no sleeves in the motor. To rebuild them you have to bore the block. They use 8 gallons of gas per hour factory bore

We had one of the last 986 Internationals that were produced had the Western interior auxiliary fuel tanks and auxiliary lighting God damn that was a good tractor it replaced on 966 which was one hell of a good tractor and I really wish we hadn't traded it off

Wow. That is one heck of a restoration job. My father had a John Deere 'H' he bought from a farm nearby. Drove it home. Had it for about 10 years until it broke a piston rod. My dad didn't fix it, got a different tractor and had the second one (Allis Chalmers) and my mom sold it after he died long after I was out of college. Yes, we used to ride on the fenders. SMH

Excellent Restoration, I am doing a 1941 LI As well that belongs to my wife. She has had since she was 10 years old. A question though, is the generator & oil gauge actually supposed to be yellow? Also where is the ground strap located or did they do away with them by 1946? Thank You.
