They brought back some wonderful memories of the family holidays we enjoyed on Thudufushi and Athuruga, truly unforgettable and gave me a lump in the throat. @lindas25312 ай бұрын
@@happydays8218 Yes, and was hugely underwhelmed by some of the hotels, especially for the price charged. We have also been to lots of other expensive and gorgeous places around the world. To us, way too many hotels in Maldives look like £50/night Thai bungalows while costing a £1,000/night and more. Equally weird to me is when travellers able to pay £1-2k/night are raving about terribly old and smelly hotels with poor food and service, just because it is “Maldives”. Older people seem to be happy with whatever they get, no matter how much they’ve paid; as do alcohol drinkers, and those defrauding other people and the tax office for living. We are none of the above and like to spend our hard-earned and heavily-taxed salaries well. Hence always doing lots of research and scrutinising online reviews.

Congratulations, very nice video. I like especially the undwerwater clips of it. I've been there either on water villa and beach villa. I do prefer the latter 'cause you may go back and forth easily wherever you are doing in the isle. The green canopy is very suggestive from the veranda window out. Constance Moofushi is loved by many who repeat the visit in the years. IMHO it's has been done a great job to give the place a unique character of being small and never crowded as well. Plus a gorgeous house reef all aoround and being next to the best diving spot in te area. Leit motive sounds: rustling of the leaves at the breeze, the distant waves crashing on te reef, some mufled voice. Thank you for sharing with us. You help me keeping memories of my stay there.

Hello Mikael, I used the the basic iMovie program on my iMac if you go on Google you can get some very helpful and simple tutorial videos. We are going back in Nov can I ask you which room you stayed in and has any room suffered from beach erosion as I now this happens through the different monsoon seasons. Look forward to seeing your video.

Hai there great video, what camera did you use ? did you use redfilter and housing ? i see that you went diving with bottles but how was snorkling with just mask and snorkel ? where is the best snorkel sports around the island, we go to diamond Athuruga in now 5 days starting 17 from CPH wee look foreward to this trip :-) Br Mikael denmark
@happydays82182 жыл бұрын
Hi Mikael, thankyou you for watching. All film footage was from the GoPro 10, I did use a red filter & housing as the GoPro 10 is waterproof to about 10 metres but we exceed those depths when diving. You can only attach the red filter to the housing so if your only snorkelling without the housing you could try adjusting the white balance or colour correction when you edit the film in post production. The snorkelling around the island is very good with plenty of fish coral has suffered bleaching but there is a slight recovery. The best snorkelling spots I found to be either side of the jetty but as with nature sometimes your lucky sometimes not so. The big nurse sharks were at the jetty most nights about 21:00 hrs so take a good flash light you can see them from on the end of jetty. The snorkelling is always better at dawn & dusk but again you will need to take alight if you want to film. There was a water sports guy there called Nishan he is very helpful & will advise & guide the guests as part of the service. Hope this was helpful, have a fantastic holiday.

@@happydays8218 Yes that was quite helpful , I have Gopro 9 no housing or redfilter , I read it has no effect if i only snorkel and dont dive below 1-2 meters, I was in maldives some years ago and also there on the end of jetty at evning a lot of big sharks and lots af big fish, quite interessting , and fun to watch What trips did you take ? do you recommend the trips I think i'll take Snorkling trip manta trip Whaleshark trip Fishing trip Sunset trip Thanks Br Mikael
@happydays82182 жыл бұрын
@@mikaelnielsen6760 I like to use a red filter even in 1-2 meters the snorkelling filter is not as dark red as the diving one but its a personal preference. I have never been on any trips other than the dive boat trips that go off the island to other dive sites. Sounds like your going to be busy if you make all those trips. One thing I will add is those trips are weather permitting & the weather can be a bit unsettled at this time of year, good luck.
